Can't see in through the windows. I did wave at the train though!

Yay! the first potential Tea? meeting. A bit 'brief encounter'...

Too fast, not sure, cr*p and dammit.
I certainly would have trouble cycling at these speeds!
What a beautiful day tho, I fancy an earhquake!
BTW do those silos hide your secret rocket base from where you intend to rule the world with your sauve blend of tea, chocolate, wine, compliments and all round good eggedness?

Blast, forgot I had to go thru St. Ephen'ugh'.

What ho!

RE: First Tea? thread meeting.
I thought that went fantastically well all things considered!
We have certainly accomplished something?
Suggestions on a postcard to tdr1nka, coach A, the 12:30 East Coast Mainline to Newcastle.

Bad news is that Mrs. tdr1nka has inadvertently booked me into the 'Shhhhsh!' quiet coach so I had to stifle me squeaks of excitement leading up to the meeting. Be assured that in the true spirit of the thread I had a cup of tea from the trolly throughout.

Confused Us Say;

'A journey of 300 miles starts with one man in blue shirt waving at a passing high speed train.'

If only. They're compressed air (I think) for a car bodywork and spraying place next door to us. Big cylindrical tanks, about 15-20 feet high.

If I may make so bold, how about I make the trip up to the dodgy environs of Tdr1nka Towers, hand the book over there, and repair to a hostelry of some sort? Be easier than synchronised high speed waving.

EDIT I was of course holding my mug.

LOL!

Dammit tdr1nka, if I'd been a bit more organised, I could have waved at York, assuming you went through there?

And TheDoctor could have sent his regards to me, like the Railway Children do to their Dad, via the train....

He will be doing. He's not got there yet. I'd say, about 1400 or so.

I did:biggrin:. Your mention of the 'My daddy' line this morning put the idea in my head.

Arch, I have yet to pass thru York so there is still time!

In fact I'm not sure where I am now?
Have been distracted listening Sondheim's 'Into The Woods' while challenging the Safe Speed lobby on another thread!
Silly me! Tsk.

York update to follow.....
The train is two hours from Durham right now.

Doctor you are most welcome to visit the towers and I am very likely to be visiting friends in Hat(e)field in the next month and could meet in your neck of the woods?

Tx

That sounds like a plan. I don't know any pubs in Hatfield (well, I know where they are, obviously, but I don't know if any of them are any good...) Or are you staying in Hatfield/ in which case we could meet up during the day / evening and go for a ride. I'm better on food than alcohol round here to be honest.

It looks smashing on you.

Wow, that's two posters now with my quotes as their sig lines!

Oh, thanks. What, this old thing? *blushes*
At this rate my sig line will be longer than my posts.

I can make my stay in Hatfield a long weekend I have friends in WGC as well so maybe a cycle to an eatery at a point triangulated betwixt Hatefield, WGC and Steven Ugh?

Discuss.

You'll be sorry when you do that triangulation and find it's bang on top of a sewage farm or something...
