I think getting in would be easy. Getting out, OTOH...

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

We dress as a pantomime pachiderm, Arch can dress up like Johnny Morris(easy now Doctor)then we lead the lil' heffalump out saying we're off to B*ger King or summink?

*looks sheepish and avoids meeting Speichers eyes*

Afternoon all, have you been behaving yourselves in my absence?

*Passes round Moose-shaped cookies following trip to Stockholm*

Sound good! Although to be pedantic (something I'm good at) the European name for that animal is an elk. Moose is American. There, they have an 'elk', but it's what we call a red deer...

(That's why we have Latin names!)

So, these Alces alces biscuits...

Meanwhile, tdr1nka, you start sewing up the pantomime elephant costume. We may be halfway to arranging an outing here...;)

Stockholm was great, OH and I really enjoyed it - seems like a really laid-back place (though I suspect they're a nation of much earlier risers than I'd care for...). Bikes everywhere and most of the roads have little zebra crossings where vehicles unfailingly give way to pedestrians.

Sounds like Copenhagen. Took a bit of getting used to, trusting drivers to stop, but great once you relaxed into it!

I know what you mean, but it really took very little adjustment.
OH thought it'd be a great place to raise the (as yet putative) kids. I was slightly concerned by the price of beer though!

I have just been into Soapbox, and said something extremely rude. Even got there before Fnaar did.:blush: If Papercorn is looking for me, show him the door.

Tdr1nka, are you still in the sshhhh! Carriage?

Six year olds of my acquaintance are not normally aware of the importance of ssshhhh Has she been asleep, or playing I spy, (red bloomers , onions etc) ?

I was revelling in the luxury of travelling alone as Ms tdr1nka goes to her Mum's for the second half of a week, and on alternate weekends.

Not that I was really alone for the journey as I had The Doctor and Arch for on line company, and real life waving!

I'm in Durham now, it is lovely but I be pooped and going to bed.

Until the dawning of the new dawn dawns* my good friends........

* there is a joke in this about a posh version of the Status Quo classic 1974 number 1 hit single, but I can't be arsed to try and write it.
