Longest running thread here I suspect. Certainly the most posted in by a huge margin...
Can I offer you some comestibles there? And if you keep you ears peeled on Saturday morning, you may hear a distant chink of mugs...

As evidence I think, of how "old-fashioned" I think this town may be, one of the shops I was in was closing at lunch time for the rest of the day.
This must be one of about five shops with early closing day. Is this unusual or do you have it in your town?

Ooh, I don't think any of the ones here do. Some of them used to, the old family owned places, but I don't think they do any more.
The Post Office near work does, but Hatfield's a funny place.

Nothing like a good roll. Does your baker do a nice meaty sausage?
I had some sticky tart the other day. Very pleasant, very tasty:tongue: and quite cheap too.
Half price, on the bakery counter in Waitrose.
I'll have to go shopping in Tesco from now on though!

*passes tea and crumpets to Speicher*

I'm fine after my run in with the mud guard from hell! Thanks for askin'.
In fact I'm just going to cable tie the wires to the lug and have done with the front clips, it was a good job I wasn't going a lot faster when it happened!

Tea as usual is the best medicine!
I'm doin a courier run for a friend to George Martins studios in Hampstead tomorrow, with all these extra runs this week I might even cycle back from St. Evenage to London if the weather stays nice!!

Well, you'll have about *googles* 33 mins between Archs' train departing northwards and the sunset. Can you make it in that time? And do you feel lucky with the rain?

Ah, tdr1nka... The problem with telling people about your mishaps is that people infer from your continued presence that it wasn't that bad really and you're OK.

Glad you're OK though matey!

Ah, no, if I had been mangled I'd be moanin alright!

Touch wood, fingers crossed an all that I've only, so far, had two spills that
warranted any gasps from onlookers and appreciation of gravel rash.
Once down to diesel and the other when I was as p*ssed as a ferret, which now I come to think about it deserves no sympathy what so ever!!

Satan's Mudflap simply comes down to a stupid and embarrassing moment.

More tea?
