I dunno, next thing you'll be brawling in the street over picking up a burger wrapper!

Tea? anyone? I've just had to buy a cup to change a tenner to give a fiver to the friend who brought me in some lamb chops and a bit of mince, from her own sheeps.;)

I'm going to have a cuppa. My knees are achey from laminate floor laying. I think I left my knee pads and floor laying kit at my friend's house.

Is there another cup in the pot? I did my first ever 100k ride today and I'm still gasping as I didn't stop for tea during the ride. xx(

Tea for me please.

I have had a very busy afternoon watching the Tour.

I spent a great deal of time on the race radio talking to my Team in Cycle Chat mini-league. As a result of my encouragement and motitivating, I now have four Team members in the top ten of the GC. (and I have only got seven members in total).:biggrin::smile:

Quite a hot day for 100k? It's baking here.

I live in NI and did the 100k around the Ards peninsula - it was quite cool with a sea mist and quite a breeze. It's getting warmer this evening though.

100 km is indeed a good effort, but what kind of rider are you?

One doesn't stop cycling for a tea-break; one interrupts a tea-break for a ride!

I don't belong to a club or do group rides etc so I've never got into the cafe stop culture. Maybe I'll get there one day - when I think I'm good enough

Tonight is was jacket pot, with a tuna, apple, celery, chive, cucumber & mayo filling (light on the mayo) with a side salad using salad leaves freshly picked from the garden. Had a glass of chilled fermented juice of grape with it. I'm just off to prepare the strawberries for pudding and then I'll have a nice hot cup of tea.

That sounds pretty good Waffles!
How is Mr Waffles doing? Is he still plastered?

*hands The Doc a tissue*

MrW is not doing too badly. He's 'getting on with it' and not treating it like a bad case of man 'flu. So all credit to him for that. Mind you, it means I'm not on my bike at all, which is driving me loopy and my 4r$3 ever bigger. That is depressing me no end  Alas I so much as look at a bit of 'unhealthy' food and I put on weight. As much as I love MrW and enjoy driving, so acting as chauffeur is no hassle as such, I am missing being out on the bike *dreadfully* and this is likely to remain so until the back end of September into October and by then my 4r$3 will be bigger than Ayres Rock. Still - then I will be attacking the flab ever harder.
