My tea is going down a treat, thanks. A friend of mine bought round two huge cabbages today. One is a January King and the other is a Savoy. They are too big for the fridge, how can I keep them fresh ish for a week or so until I can finish them off?

I'd have thought, keep them somewhere cool. (like my whole flat....). Outside even? Or you could perhaps reduce the savoy in size by cutting some off and shredding it so that it's pre-prepared? It might keep ok in the fridge...(I dunno, I've never done that)
