Morning all! I'll get the kettle on.
*fires up kettle*
*fires up toaster
*puts grill on standby*
I have bacon, beef sausages and various types of bready toastable comestibles.
I'll be in the kitchen if anyone wants anything hot.

Morning all! Any tea on? I had a cup with breakfast, but it was less than satisfactory as I was a dope last night and forgot to get milk at the shop, so I only had a dribble of it for my morning tea.

Talking to my Mum last night on the phone, she said that the British Geological Survey are asking people to email in their experiences of the earthquake, so I am going to do that. I'm not sure if they will want to know about how I was just nodding off agian 40 minutes later, and my fridge motor kicked in and made my jump awake all over again. I'm not sure they 'do' fridges.

BTW Doc, did you see Torchwood last night? I though Owen wouldn't be dead quite so quickly as all that, but are they going to drag him on being not properly dead for ever, or actually get it over with? And I thought the demonically possessed glove thing was just a bit comic when it scuttled about...

I did see it. I also cheated and watched next weeks on on BBC3. Be warned, it's a bit heavy going (well, a lot, really..., but ends on a note of optimism. and yes, Owen seems to carry on being dead. Not sure where that story arc is going, TBH.

i taped it last nite. not much point in watching it now though. :becool:

Oh no - you should. What Arch mentioned is a teeny weeny bit of what goes on. I watched it twice (I know, I'm sad) and it still got me even though I knew everything that was going to happen.

Anyway, in the next one there's this great bit with the huge spaceship and it opens out to dramatic music and guess what comes out of the Rift?

It doesn't. I'm lying. It's nothing like that at all.

The baby elephant that visited this house on Wednesday morning at approx. 1am to nudge the furniture and the bed, has now been located.
A local village has decided to paint him white and have a White Elephant Party on Friday evening. Everyone exchanges very small white elephants (wrapped up :becool:) so that no one knows what they are :ohmy:, and has soup and nibbles etc.

Furthermore, Henry Sandon, (the Antique expert) will be visiting this town next Wednesday to do valuations for Air ambulances. Not many people have an helicopter that needs valuing so while he is here, he will be valuing items, possibly white elephants, and the proceeds go to Air Ambulance.

Yes please, I would like a toasted tea, and a cup of buttered cake.

Sorry trusty, didn't think. Lucky I didn't mention the bit where the Daleks appear through a manhole and it turns out Captain Jack was a Cyberman all along, and then Anne Widdecombe....

*can't think of anything that would make Anne Widdecombe more scary than she really is*

Anyway, sorry.

What's that Doctor? Something hot? Why, yes please. Have you got anything dripping with butter, and glistening with runny honey?

*worries about water wastage, with all these cold showers the Doc keeps having*

Really, must dash to the Post Office before the lunchtime rush, to send some knitted slippers to my Mum for Mother's Day.

*slurps rest of tea*
*dribbles butter and honey down front of jumper*
<sigh>

I will, forever, be a dishevelled mess. I'm like Mr Messy, all squiggle. I see a thread in Beginners about how to arrive at work crease free, and I think "Why bother?";)

*exit, to Post Office*

*passes tea to Speicher, and notices (finally) that Arch has helped herself to toast and honey.

That's weird news. Can I put in an order for a white elephant? With rotor blades, if possible. The notion of a VTOL elephant is quite superb, and more realistic that that flappy eared Disney nonsense.

How are you today?
