Ta.

Just the ticket. Speaking of which, it would appear the major theme of my day will be sorting out tickets for various things (some business, some pleasure).

How're we all this fine morning?

Not bad. In the office on my own again (manager off doing management training, and the other techy is off sick) so not much work is being done.
I called the agency again yesterday to try and get an answer about the Astrium job. The longer it goes on, the more I think that I may not get it. Ho hum.
Where are you off to then?

Fuggin Virgin Media van had me & Ms tdr1nka off this morning. Ms tdr1nka is fine and seriously defiant! I have minor scabby knees and fed up.
The good thing is I convinced Ms tdr1nka to get on the bike again and get to school.
Just a case of impatience over safety, B*st*rd wanted past us no matter what on a double parked residential street and after blasting his horn and following so close Ms tdr1nka was screaming, I had no margin to stop to let him pass so he barged thru forcing us into the side of a parked car. Managed to keep the bike upright for Ms tdr1nka to get off sharpish while bike and I took a slow impact and ended up in the road on my knees.
Didn't get his number as I was consoling Ms tdr1nka who was obviously rather distraught.

I have some chocolate brownies from yesterday that my local C*ff** shop can't sell, any one want one?
Kettle on!

you should be able to track down the van through virgin media if you give them the road details where it happened, they should know who was doing jobs in that area.

God, how awful, hope you are ok? Whether you got number or not, complain to company with location and time. If necessary, email Richard Branson direct. That is really, really crap, and the sort of publicity they don't want.;)

To be pedantic about an earlier point - the 'car free' island you are all thinking of might be Sark, in one of the Channel Islands?

I've spent all morning catching up with the threads and emails after my triumph on TV last night, and I'll be off to lunch in a minute. Gosh, this media stuff is tiring!

That sucks, mate. Glad you and the young'un are OK. If there was any damage likely to have been done to the van, I'd give Virgin Media a call, as they may be able to trace from that. In fact, I'd give them a call anyway. And then call the police. Leaving the scene is an offence, and you can bet your backside the driver hasn't reported it.
I'll take a brownie, and offer a manly, reassuring type hug in exchange. And tell Ms tr1nka that I hope she's OK, and not all drivers are impatient knob-heads. You may want to rephrase that.
