Oh and tea. I now have a clearer outlook on life. The window cleaners have been round.

Is that one for each of 26,875 people, and one for the pot?

And it's one hell of a pot!!

I'm wiv Waffles on the Early Grey stuff. Ughnn, sorry, no. Pot Purri tea?
Still each to their own.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATI, btw.

It's a weird day today, just found out that the Shimano clipless pedals that I was watching on eBay were secretly being bought for me by Mrs. tdr1nka for my birthday.
She had to fess up because I have been complaining that I couldn't and can't find them cheaper anywhere else. Bless her, I'm so lucky!
Then stuck on a packed bus going to see my solicitor, regarding a challenge I am making against my local council, I had my first big 'panic attack' in years. Brought about more than likely by lack of control.
I would normally have cycled but had, in hindsight, taken public transport to avoid arriving at a meeting all sweaty etc. Won't be making that mistake again.

That's life tho isn't it, ups and downs all the way.

More tea?

As a relative newbie, I thought it only right that I request my cup of tea through this thread.

How many thousand t-bags are left?

And does anyone here slurp tea off of the saucer?

Tea... I am in need of tea...

Crisis averted!

Restorative tea required.

The offspring, in the process of building up his new time trial bike, was transferring his Pro Missile bars with VisionTech levers on to new bike. Discovered that the cables, having been used on old bike are now too short for new bike. Now... seems VisionTech brake cables & housing only work with VisionTech cables. Cue contacts to importer & various dealers. Panic averted - luckily Pedal Revolution in Norwich actually have the rare, yet required, item in stock! Hurrah! So a swift journey up to Norwich and siad item is purchased. The offspring is once again in the garage doing *highly important fettling*

So, ta muchly, Pedal Revolution!

But I am requiring of tea..

Oh dear, this is a Very Polite Request to newbies and establissed peeps, please do not mention tea b*gs in the environs of Tea?
To continuise the calmness and friendlyness (friedliness) of tea, it would be sensible to use only Tea leafs.

If LOTP has to come in here with his tippex!:ohmy::blush::sad:

I have just had good advice from the Window Cleaner who is also a household maintenance person, on how to do two jobs myself, rather than pay him to do them!

He explained that he does not want to charge people for him to do work, that he thinks is simple enough for people to do themselves, if they have some advice from him. I refrained from asking him which planet he was from, and did he have any brothers or sisters?

Now that is why honesty is a rare commodity in the trades!

I'm afraid I will continue in my mention of teabags, as I think they are a Very Good Thing, and save me getting a mouthful of tealeaves. I am one of those people who will always get the mouthful of tealeaves, just like I will always get the one uncracked peppercorn in anything with cracked pepper, and end up with it wedged in a tooth.

The lady in the canteen got it wrong, so I had Earl Grey with my lunch instead of fair trade. I am more amenable to Earl Grey than Waffles is, thankfully.

Speciecher, I like the sound of your window cleaner. My Mum could do with someone like him, she knew a couple of good workmen but they retired and since then she's had a few less than satisfactory ones...

Tea leaves. I have it sussed. Making tea with leaves, one uses a cafetiere. Naturally one has one specifically for the tea and it does not get used for making c*ff**. It does a fine job of allowing the tea to brew properly - when it is ready - press the plunger and one has tea without leaves and no mess.
