Ok don't tell anyone but me neither. I was just trying to impress! I find you get the same effect if you leave just a tiny bit of fairly liquid in the bottom of the cup before adding the usual Tetley. Although I'm rather partial a cup of English Breakfast I must admit.

And I do make a rather nice victoria sponge

Oh! Ok. Earl Grey and victoria sponge anyone?
Now there's someone (and a princess too) who is talking my language.

I have my Earl Grey in a bucket large mug with no milk and no sugar and my Victoria sponge whole and uncut in respectably sized quadrants.

Victoria sponge yum!

 I could go right off you Tdr1nka! It's just tea with built-in lemoniness...
And PP - anyone who owns a Pashley and can make victoria sponge is most welcome here. We're not all that dangerous - in fact, we're mostly harmless...

Morning all! Greetings PP!

Doc, I'm afraid I'm siding with those against the Earl - I reckon it must be my socialist upbringing rebelling against the idea of social peerages...

Any builders on the go?

Greetings all.

A swift pop in and out. There's this thing called 'life' getting in the way of cycling at the moment. Bah!

Anyhow...

Mr Wafflycat is being remarkably sanguine about his being plastered. Considering he's likely to be in plaster until mid/late September, he's managing not to climb the walls. Mind you, it means I'm on chauffeur duties business-wise, getting MrW around to clients, that I'm spending more time driving. Now as much as I like driving, I'd rather be on the bike. But that's the way the cookie crumbles "for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer in sickness and in health" an all of that. I spent yesterday afternoon and early evening inspecting a local organic farm. Saw each field & building, farm equipment, animals, crops, history of the farm going orgnaic, why the decision to change from standard farming to organic was made, the pitfalls, the joys, mistakes made along the way. So I know where my meat will be sourced from from now on - the pork & beef anyway. Animals looked cared for, fit, lively, bright-eyed, healthy.

The Laydeez, Anode & Cathode, continue to thrive and lay vast quantities of eggs. As of 10.05hrs this morning, due to Anode's production of that minute, the running total since 19 April is 114 eggs. Simply excellent from a couple of supposedly 'egged-out' hens. The Laydeez continue to provide mirth with their antics round the garden, whilst on pest control duty, and they still adore sweetcorn and spagehetti in olive oil. The felines continue to get used to their feathered housemates.

Now, where's that cuppa?

Cheers Landers! *clink of mugs*

After a month away the heaving Metrollopp*ss is a bit 'skanky' to tell the truth. It might just be me needing to adjust tho. The weather is patchy and since the murder of the French students the Police presence is pretty heavy.

Of course it is wonderful to see family & friends again and I have missed Miss tdr1nka summink rotten, so really I have nothing to complain about.
I also have a 'new' bike and I'm getting all prepped to do my Cycle Instructor training in September so I have enough to occupy my time really.

Good brew there btw, got another on the go?

Hi Waffly, glad to hear Mr W is getting on alright, but it must be a bit of a drain on you! I'm sure he'll reward you for your kindnesses!

Have a cuppa!

That's what marriage is about - good times & less good  He'd do the ssame for me (and has done in the past).
