Greetings all.
A swift pop in and out. There's this thing called 'life' getting in the way of cycling at the moment. Bah!
Anyhow...
Mr Wafflycat is being remarkably sanguine about his being plastered. Considering he's likely to be in plaster until mid/late September, he's managing not to climb the walls. Mind you, it means I'm on chauffeur duties business-wise, getting MrW around to clients, that I'm spending more time driving. Now as much as I like driving, I'd rather be on the bike. But that's the way the cookie crumbles "for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer in sickness and in health" an all of that. I spent yesterday afternoon and early evening inspecting a local organic farm. Saw each field & building, farm equipment, animals, crops, history of the farm going orgnaic, why the decision to change from standard farming to organic was made, the pitfalls, the joys, mistakes made along the way. So I know where my meat will be sourced from from now on - the pork & beef anyway. Animals looked cared for, fit, lively, bright-eyed, healthy.
The Laydeez, Anode & Cathode, continue to thrive and lay vast quantities of eggs. As of 10.05hrs this morning, due to Anode's production of that minute, the running total since 19 April is 114 eggs. Simply excellent from a couple of supposedly 'egged-out' hens. The Laydeez continue to provide mirth with their antics round the garden, whilst on pest control duty, and they still adore sweetcorn and spagehetti in olive oil. The felines continue to get used to their feathered housemates.
Now, where's that cuppa?
