I must admit I am a fair weather cyclist.

I saw a cylist earler today in the rain. He was wearing a big waterproof coat, hood and gloves but still had bare legs soaking wet. Couldn't see the point myself.

Didn't help me on that climb though...
Hi Plax! *hugs* I had a great time yesterday - I really enjoyed the ride. That Galaxy of yours is lovely.

Yes, I do think I made a good choice with the Galaxy. Comfortable and suitable for the majority of my cycling needs!
I've found out that it's the front mudguard (along with the aluminium water bottle in the holder) that is rattling the most. Stuffed the lock in my saddle bag which has also reduced the number of rattles. Tightened up the mudguard which will hopefully minimise it, but I don't think it will stop it completely as the mudguard is flush up against the front forks. I am wondering if they've but the wrong size mudguards on, but hey ho! I'll just have to cycle slowly, it seems to protest at going fast on uneven road surfaces.

Tea anyone? I'm about to sneak to the canteen for a quick brew

Cookiemonster, sorry to drag it up again, but I've come to the thread a bit late, and I just wanted to say, I know just how you must have felt. Been there, done that etc. Have a big virtual hug from me.

Kettle on anyone? Just been to take my laptop into the laptop hospital to see if it's going to be fixable. Nice chap, I think he'll do his best, although he was a bit bamboozled by it initially, and needs to do some digging about inside... And later I have a meeting about restarting my PhD <shudder>

Still, last night I finished the monkey I'm knitting for Oli for his birthday....

Oh yes, definately.
We still can't sort a second date out so have agreed that I might as well just book a B&B in Gretna Green for late summer and we'll meet up then with ID and witnesses.

I like it - "we couldn't find a window for a date, so we got married...."

If you're having trouble organising a date, try for a raisin first, they are smaller, so perhaps less complicated...;)

LOL

The best we seem to be able to manage is a hour or so on a Sunday morning. That's a bit rubbish really.

Turns out she is the same age as me and has the same star sign. It means that she can easily be most of a month older then me and only 2 days younger at best.
