It was arch that was asking about the n-1 thing.

Well, the n1 is the road that connects Belfast & Dublin and, fingers crossed, I'll be accredited by the end of the year.;)

I'll sit down and build a small kettle to be powered by a Sturmey-Archer dynahub, so you'll always have tea at the workplace.

At least you're not driving half-way accross the country, I suppose.

True. Small mercies and all that. But tomorrow is likely to be a couple of hundred miles. Sigh.

Edit: Look, at the mere mention of more driving my 4r$3 has expanded another three inches!

Or he could carry a storm kettle bolted to his rack - that way, he'd resemble a steam powered cyclist! Just needs a few twigs to fuel it...

Morning all! Doing my other job today. Well, ok, not right at this minute, obviously...

Morning Arch!
Steam powered bike - I like it. I don't know if steam engines have a hot water take-off to make tea with, but I kind of think they should...

I've certainly seen a steam yacht that did, in the Windermere Boat museum. there was a little brass tap off the boiler...

I suspect any hot water take off on a steam loco might have to be a secondary system, heated by the boiler perhaps but not directly connected. Pressure off the main boiler might be a bit high to easily direct a mugful of water into a small drinking vessel...

Evening! I am stuck on the side of a slate mountain in Wales with no mobile signal and M is in hospital for an op. All I can do is drink tea and wait til the morning before finding a signal to phone her folks to see how she is. Phoned earlier but they were out.

I think I would like a very hot cup of tea, and some ginger biskits. The correct size for dunking. ;) It feels as if I should be putting the heating on, and an extra jumper.

I joined a Pirates Pilates course last week, on the suggestion of my Physiotherapist. Managed quite a bit, (explained very briefly the problem to the Tutor), it should help with core strength, and stretching etc. Will it make me a bit taller?
