Are overshoes the things they wore at the olympics? I ask because on some of the evening rides I've done recently about 10pm when it's been iced over and you can hear crinkle sprinkle as you ride along my feet have started to get cold in my SPD shoes and this is the first time this has ever happened.

These are nice and warm and have good keepdryability.

Apparently I look like a golf club with them on.

Don't care .

I have those as well - following your purchase tdr1inka! It's a touch of 'Battle of the Velcro' every time I saddle up in the wet. Do a good job though - better than the rubber ones.

It is a fight to get them on isn't it, thank god I thought it was just me bein an overshoe noob!

Cheers Messers Longers, Apertif and trd1nka. It's only really the feet that are cold when I go out at the moment late/early. So it will be a nice fix

Good Morning all. Just popped in a for a swift cuppa before setting off to a cycling event. 1st frosty morning I've seen, so I'm glad that most of my route should be ice resistant and/or gritted. (I refuse to say ice proof - Get that good of irony, spite, nitpiking, et al!!!!)

Waffles, young Tasha has started chasing her tail. A very long tail, a bit out of proportion with the rest of her body. IIRC this is a bad thing for a pet to do, (especially in dogs). She was a stray from quite a young age. She is not quite two years old, and had two litters while a stray. So I think she is not aware of "play" as in ping pong balls etc. I know that she needs to be out more, but as she still has not grown back the fur from her spaying op, she may feel the cold at that bit. Can you suggest what to do. She seems to chase her tail, if left alone too long. She has only just started to do it in the last few days, but I would not like her to get into the habit of doing it. She did it for about five minutes on and off this morning, now calmed down. I realise that giving her attention when she is doing it will make things worse.

Take her for the old Manx conversion?

Sorry, not helpful, I know. I'm no expert, but perhaps it's just a phase, and if you keep her otherwise occupied she'll forget about it? Five minutes, on and off, doesn't sound too bad, not like she's doing it all the time...

Now then. I've come into Kings Manor with my laptop, because the leccy people reckoned there might be interruptions to the supply at home today, due to to them digging something up. So I've come in here to work. Alas, this also means I am within ready reach of the internet....

Are you also in reach of any other "distractions"? E.g. cake? Darn these early starts and missing any form of brekkers...
Right, I'm off to a meeting, see you all in a bit.

Young Tasha sounds as if she's a perfectly normal, playful, young cat. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Really.
