I suddenly have an overwhelming desire to croft. Where does one apply?

I missed out the other great bit of news, one of our local pubs has won an appeal that now gives the Licencee the go ahead to turn the place into a lap dancing club.
Well, if the bike tutoring goes belly up there's always an alternative living to be made...

Good point. Beautifully put.
It's made you a lot of friends after all.

*PMs Chuffy for details of rubber shorts suppliers*
You can borrow mine if you like. Perhaps we should organise a CC shorts swap?

A little Jaffa Cake to celebrate my 2,250th post... should I expect to sprout horns or something?

No, only if you eat a large Jaffa Cake. What's the point of a little Jaffa Cake, anyway...

Kettle is whistling!

Blimey Tdr1nka, I'm not surprised you'd like to move. If you need an extra pairof hands on your croft, give me a shout, I have basic jam making skills and can handle a horse. Well, I think I could.

I was watching 'The Victorian Farm' on TV at the weekend - it's not the usual 'stick a load of novices in a vaguely historical Big Brother house and hope they fall out' thing, but three people with historical knowledge, doing stuff the old fashioned way. I know it would be cold in winter, and there wouldn't be mod cons, but it looked like a fine life. A horse, some chickens and ducks, a couple of pigs, a little cow, and some sheep, and a field of wheat. I reckon between us, we could start a Tea? commune.

tdr1nka, glad to hear you're still alive! Not sure I envy you your neighbours though!
And Chuffy,

is the best smiley I've seen in a long time. Do you think we could, erm, "borrow" it for Cycle Chat?

Lately I feel like I'm living in a cheap British version of Grand Theft Auto.;)

Hey, on the bright side I did omit to say we had a fatal road accident at the end of my road two Saturday's ago.

It'll be giant alligators climbing out of the sewers next!

Where do I sign up! My skills? I can make tea:biggrin:

I'll draw up a list....

Waffles, obviously, is our chicken wrangler. And I know many of the chaps in Tea have woodwork and other construction skills. And of course, I knit - if I have to, I can do practical stuff, not just woolly animals!
