Morning all!

I've got dead-legs syndrome too, but not from Sunday's big ride. Reckon it's re-learning just how steep hills are when your only gear's 39/15.

Any Tea? on't go? Will swap for Hobnobs...

It's a deal! Kettle's on.

Looks like we were all up to heroics at the weekend. My legs and bum are fine, I'm just tired. Maybe I didn't eat enough so I prescribe even more cake next time:tongue:.

Don't have Hobnobs, but do have some leftover biscuity tray bake things from Sunday, if you fancy? Crushed biscuit, walnuts, raisins, cherries, all mixed up with syrup and butter and cinnamon, and covered with chocolate. Never met anyone who didn't like them (well except for someone who turned them down because they have raisins in. She eats oysters, but won't touch raisins....)

A day at home, mostly for me. Apart from walking back from the garage, and then walking back later to collect the car. When I bought the car, it came with free MOT charges, as it were, and a free valet every year. They would also collect the car, and return it free of charge. But it is such a good reliable garage, with friendly helpful peeps, there that I do not like to take advantage of them. How old-fashioned is that, I will never make a politician will I?

Any choc Hobnobs left?

If only you could get tea and cake on the NHS!

Would be very much cheaper! Actually, prescribe a bike ride, then tea and cake, and you probably would do a lot of people a lot of good! A bit of exercise, and all the endorphins from that, plus the mental boost of good company and socialising. I'm sure the 'downsides' of a bit of cake would be well offset by the upsides.

Does carrot cake count as one of your 5-a-day? I've had courgette in cake form too, that was nice.;)

Under my rules, which also count flour and any dairy based fat, that's three at least, four with a cream cheese icing...

I think my carrot cake has about two-thirds of a carrot per slice so you may be onto something:biggrin:.

You can! It does involve swapping it for a pint of blood though
Mind you, that's a weight loss of over a pound, so it's all good.

Good point, although a Nice biscuit isn't quite cake...

Hmm, you think I could achieve 11 stone by not quite bleeding to death? Worth a try...
