Oh yes, please. Celebratory tea. I've just had the results in of my first proper breast screening, complete with the x-rays. Result: 'No abnormalities found' This is good as I have medical proof there is at least one part of me that is not abnormal! Hurrah!

Hurrah! Thank goodness they didn't x-ray your boil....

Celebratory tea all round, I've just got to the office and put the kettle on.

Oooh, is that a Bakewell tart?

I was telling my sister, last night, about the Sportive on Saturday, and she said, with a hint of a laugh, so it's like the Tour de France then? I said yes it was, except we get pie and chips at the end, and we reckoned that would make the whole Tour more interesting...

I bought some cereal bars this morning, so I'm fully stocked up on race fuel. I suppose, for the sake of authenticity, I should take a banana, but it would probably just end up battered and uneaten. I mean bruised, not covered in batter.

These are brilliant fun, especially if you've got Captain Bob - the guy who makes them - up front:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Yes, Arch, that is a Bakewell Tart. A special knitted one, found by accident, (don't ask how I found a knitted cake by accident ).

BTW some one came in here shortly after I put that on the table, just said thanks and walked out. A new member I think, but with a link in his sig line to a High speed C*r forum. Whatever next?

(His post has since been deleted).

I'll be sitting up all night in the door of my tent, looking out for one of those!

I don't own one myself but I was introduced to one my a girl in my walking group. Somehow that sounds very wrong:ohmy::blush:.

Right then, I'm off home soon. I'm all packed for tomorrow. Pray for a strong westerly. I'm planning on lunch in Pocklington, and tea in Market Weighton. I'll need it, having lugged my camping gear over the hilly bit between them. Just hope my wheels hold up to the weight. I never did check my tent over, so hope that hasn't got holes in it either.
