I have spent the day with my Mother and am feeling a bit and I have no chocolate, no doughnuts, no maltesers, no biscuits.

I have a bottle of Martini Rosé which will be opened later on.

I love my mum to bits but I know the feeling

You will have noticed the absence of chocolate chips in the muffins, I expect. Those particular chocolate chips were consumed some months ago. It was a Wallace and Gromit double choc muffin kit. Although I have earache and headache, I did not feel ill enough to stay in bed, or do nothing at all, so I decided to bake myself everyone else some muffins. Were they nice?

I have been up since about 5, and I am going to get my Dad's Christmas present today, so the first proper trip to Glasgow for ages will ensue.

I'm off to the fishing centre as he wants a bag for when he starts in the Spring, and I have seen a couple I could get him (one is on special offer, but it is great value for money! ).
