Iceland is in the same time zone as the UK! I was there one January - still light at 6 PM, but still dark at 10 am.
That's just insane.

No, not asleep. Potsy might still be in the bath though!

Do I think I need some strong Tea?

Er, yes. I have spent most of the day so far dealing with what started out seeming to be a major catastrophe, which has now suddenly morphed into something much less dramatic. In the meantime, I have made or received about a dozen phone calls, and reorganised the rest of my week.

Now, where was I, what was I doing?

ZZZZZUUUUUMMMTTTTTPPPPPPPFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT

That is the sound of my head exploding. The person who created this comfloption this morning, was uncontactable by phone until just now. I heard from a third party, that the potential disaster is over.

Where was this person? the one with the disaster on their hands?
Out enjoying lunch, and where was their mobile phone?

If you find any grey cells in the Tea room, please be so kind as to return them to me.

Oh dear! is much worse than I thought. I have just tried to walk into the airing cupboard instead of the bathroom.

Also had an e-mail from someone with a peculiar surname asking me to send him some hot Belgian waffles.

If you were a signwriter specialising in very large signs for companies with possessive names, you could spend all day dealing with a major apostrophe....

Tea, anyone? And what's that about waffles? I notice today that it's Viking Festival time, so there's a continental market on in town. Might have to check that out at the weekend.

Wot - is Waffles back???

Here wots this grey stuff floating in my Tea? I don't suppose it'll do too much harm. Wots that? Creutzfeld Who?

Took Mrs 26x25 to the hospital today for her Op. She's back home now and looking and sounding OK. But I'm in full Nursey mode, chief cook and bottle washer etc etc. She's just arisen from her recovery sleep. She does a very effective recovery sleep usually.

Oh, all the best to her for a speedy recovery. Is she enjoying being cossetted, or is the sort who would prefer to just be up and doing stuff?

I just had sausages and mash, and roasted fried vegetables, Mmmmm. Now for more tea, and perhaps a wagonwheel.

Thanks Arch. She does like to be active but she is also reasonably realistic. I'm sort of expecting her to do some light stuff tomorrow (if she's feeling rested and OK) but I will not allow it today under any circumstances. I'm always amazed at her powers of recuperation though. As I said above - she'll off to sleep and wake up well and back to normal. Wish I had that ability.
