The "Best in Show" book is on Amazon for about £7 including postage. On the website for Muir and Osborn, it says that "Knit your own Dog" (at approx £13), is the American version of the same book, Published next week. So watch that you do not pay twice as much for the book. ;)

They would make excellent pressies for people. Once you have the basic shape for legs, heads etc, I imagine you could adapt it to whatever breed you like, cat or dog.

 :hyper:

While I was there I fnally ordered the netbook sleeve I'd put in my basket weeks ago!

Now, I also have to knit a funky cover for that! I have a design in mind...

Hmm, starting to think it might be nearly dinner time.

I'm going to have to see a GP, a good one, to sort out my lack of sleep.

I'm sure my headaches are more related to lack of sleep then any other contributing factor. Only getting a couple hours of sleep on occasional nights and none at all on other nights can't be good especially when I am needing and wanting quite a few more.

I have been trying to work on an essay today but as I am not 'at work' I have found myself drifting in concentration and then deciding to micro sleep with the laptop on my lap.
As a result I haven't written much and I am still tired. I am going to shut down everything later, TV, lights, laptop and try and prepare for sleep earlier. Hopefully I might sleep the night but I might end up waking up again after a couple hours.

Can't be good for you. I'm sure you've tried all the normal recommended remedies?

Someone over on YACF mentioned this company:

http://pzizz.com/

They do Cds and MP3 downloads that are meant to get you to sleep, or give you healthy catnaps. Some sort of mild hypnotism, I suppose.

I feel guilty, I sleep like the proverbial log mostly.

I had a look on that site, the phrase 'over thinking' amused me.

Not sure why you would feel guilty, not like you are keeping me awake.

Well, guilty in the same general way as one feels guilt at having enough to eat and somewhere to live and all that, when other people don't. A rather pointless feeling it's true...

I could come round and play the Ukulele under your window to really keep you awake.

<sings, oh, I'm leaning on a lampost...>

NT-you obviously need to do more riding (bike riding that is) after a recent forum ride one cc member, who was having similar trouble to you said he had his best nights sleep for ages that night.
Like Arch, it's not something I have trouble with, waking up is my main problem

You should have said potsy I can send round the Watchtower Brigade and the Politician that both woke me up this morning

Cheers Phil, most generous of you  about 4am Monday please
Watching the Gadget Show earlier when they were testing the alarm clocks, one was a 90 decibel one with a vibrating thingymabob that you put under your pillow, another one jumps off the bedside table and rolls around the room so you have to chase it before it will turn off

Sorry NT not helping is it

I have one of those shaped pillows that stays cool, which helps.

I was woken this morning at about 6am by a cat deciding that jumping on the bed would be fun, followed by trying to push me further across the bed.
