I think my laptop might be dead.
Since starting the OS reinstall the laptop just shows a flashing cursor. No hard drive or DVD drive noise.

Hmmm, annoying.
No amount of :cuppa: has made any difference.

It did ask what to boot from, the dvd drive, and then it spun up for a bit and then went quiet. Nothing has happened since. The last reinstall was problematic, with many faults and the service packs wouldn't install, hence trying the OS reinstall again.

Yay!

I'd jump up and down with joy, but I'm too tired..

I just had a sort of fusion dinner. Stir fried veg and noodles, and a naan bread with mango chuntney. It's that stage where I'm using up leftovers, and too busy/tired to go and shop....

Now trying to summon up the energy to wash up.

Still trying....

Isn't that my job?

Ok, I have a working laptop again. Nothing on it but it lives!
Will be a long night setting it up again.

Dinner time now.

I think saving all my washing up for when you're here would be a bit mean.

And I'd run out of plates.;)

All done now, and I'm tucked up in bed, resting my spre ankle. Typical, I strap my wrists up in tubigrip to alleviate the twingy pain I'm getting at work, and they are fine, but my weak ankle flares up.

Someone on YACF suggested I just keep applying tubigrip until I look like a mummy....

Thank you for asking, Arch. She is still in hospital. She has had an x ray on her spine, and awaiting the results. The most likely plan is that she will go to a Convalescent Home for a few weeks, before being sent home with a Care Package in place with nurses visiting during the day, and more help with meals, bathing etc. Sounds sensible to me.
