Tyre sorted, hands almost back to flesh colour, tea on the go, Aristocats on the telly. Perfect.

I never saw any of the big Disney cartoons as a kid - we didn't go to the cinema. So I just saw bits and pieces.

Gonna have a veg curry for dinner - even remembered to get some yoghurt to go with it. And the rest can go on the sticky toffee pudding I got out of the freezer this morning.

Sausage, mash & veg standard tonight.

Very pleased with myself today having repaired a Di O'Nette battery by re-soldering the connections without setting the thing on fire!!

You were right Doc, time to build my own packs and save a few bob!

I'm planning on knocking a 3.6V stack up to over-volt my 3W LED torch lights. They don't work at all well on standard rechargeables - possibly because they only add up tp 2.4V rather than the 3V you'd get from alkalines.

Am I allowed in the tea room with a hot raspberry infusion? I don't know what made me order that instead of an English Breakfast but it's doing the job and warming me up. I always imagined Monterey as basking in sunshine, not pouring with rain. It's not stopped since I got on the bike this morning .

Not the dryest of days here either.

If it's any consolation it's tipping it down here.
*squelch*

Not quite tipping it down here - too windy! More sort of tipping it all over the place.

Hoorah! Today we delivered the 'week's notice' letters to half of Tang Hall - last collection next week! I may have to buy some party poppers.

I'm well and truly middle class - I've got into a habit of shopping at Waitrose for my milk. The reason being, it's easier to turn right on a bike into Waitrose than it is into Sainsburys, because they have a set of lights with a filter, instead of two lanes to cross.

Tea?

* Ah , Slurp * Ta Arch, nice cuppa. Is Waitrose milk different to Sainsbury's? Apart from price maybe?

Today it was wet. So I got on with indoor DIY. We have had a gap in the floorboards since last winter when the new fireplace was fitted. The gap has been filled with blankets since then to stop the draft. So today I got some bits of wood and a saw and other sharp things and cut my left index finger which Mrs 26x25 bandaged. But the hole in the floorboards is shrinking. I might even have it sorted tomorrow although I will be out on my bike at some stage.

Ooh and I went over to my friends place and gathered up 10 or so bags of fallen leaves when the rain stopped this afternoon. Compost for the garden. Well one can't have enough.

More Tea anyone or shall I finish the pot?

They match on price. The only drawback with Waitrose is that they don't have a 1% fat milk like Sainsburys do - it's just like semi, and less feeble than skimmed, and it's what I get at Sainsburys.

overall, Waitrose is pricier, at the basic end of the market, which is where I shop. Their 'essentials' range ismore expensive than Sainsburys 'basics'. Also, amusingly, the Waitrose 'essentials' range includes coconut milk...

ee, it's a bit chilly tonight - first night I've felt chilled sitting at the computer. Better get into bed, and get knitting.

Jeez I need a brew.
It's a continual source of amazement to me that some people are intelligent enough to breathe unaided...
On a good day, at least. If they concentrate.

I guess breathing and drinking a cup of tea at the same time would be beyond them.

I shouldn't really be here this morning. I'm drinking c**f**.
