Ah, well, in that case might I recommend my dad's patented fix for colds, flu and most things up to and including actual illness.
Put a slice of lemon in a glass that'll stand hot water.
Add a spoonful of honey.
Add hot water. Not boiling - on no account boiling.
Add a generous slug of cheap whisk(e)y.
Drink it near a fire.
Repeat as necessary.
Not one for the single malt, this. Tesco Value Scotch will be fine, especially after the first glass.

Bit early for whisky although I have a have the week off :wahhey: The original plan was to get some winter miles in but the snow has scuppered that idea. Kati doesn't mind the snow though...

Have you got a day off Pots, or did you do an early shift?

I am feeling too unwell to make anyone tea this evening. I will put my feet up (yes, clean socks) on the sofa.

Can I virtually get you anything? Tea? Hot Choc? Remember, it's 'feed a cold', so I think you should allow yourself a few more calories, and claim they are for the cold, not you.

Spent the morning shovelling snow, clearing the paths at the centre, and our skip compound. Tried to deliver boxes and bags for a new round in the afternoon, but Beryl doesn't like the cold, and we only got half way round before we had to turn back, with the charge indicator on amber. We crawled round the inner ring road, and it took five of us to push her up the last little slope in through the gates.

Tomorrow will be interesting - a full normal collection. I think the trikes will be well used. We should have taken them today, if only we'd thought about it.

Aww get well soon Speicher, you must be genuinely ill if you can't make tea.

Early shift this week, can have an extra 30 mins in bed when I use the car,and in this weather it's very hard to motivate myself to get the bike out

Very kind of you to make the tea, Pots. ;)

I was watching Johnny Kingdom this evening. A wildlife programme showing his land or is it a farm in ... well somewhere. Arch if you would like to, you could offer to translate what he says. Is he in Sommerzzet or Northfollk?

I seem to have lost my apetite, yes, shocking I know. Might have some hot buttered toast, please Potsy.

I must come and see Beryl one day, maybe I can help her, or help find a way to help her, with the cold.

York, in your other thread, certainly looks pretty under snow.

Toast is one of the few things I can 'cook' lightly done?
Can't remember ever being so ill that it stopped me eating

I had some soup and bread (multigrain) and cheese (Delice Bourgogne) for lunch. Fish fingers and chips for tea, and an apple. So I do not think I will starve.

I think the cold is affecting my taste buds. I think I could manage some hot choc later, might make it with all milk instead of hot water.
