Thank you, feel better now, one of the downsides of having pets is the knowledge you will lose them one day.
For all my love of horror and violent films, I get upset quite easily over these things

I do not think you should describe yourself as a "big softy" when you get upset about the loss of a pet. Or any other loss. It is a very sad time, when a pet dies. They are a big part of our lives, and with us daily. I have one of my cats buried in the garden under his favourite plant, that he used to love lying on.

There is no comparison to watching horror films, as you know that is fiction.

Not sure what else to say, but I think you will get my drift, as it were.

Lots of hugs from me :hugs:

Good night Speich :hello:
Thanks for the kind words.

Ian- Cheers, I feel that this year I will finally get myself fitter and slimmer, after years of false starts and broken diets, it is a big boost when people comment on noticeable progress

That's very true. Even better when you haven't seen someone for so long that they say "you've lost wieght!" even though you know you've actually slipped a bit and put a pound or two back on recently.

I'm having salad for tea, well, half of it is pasta salad with mayonnaise in, but the other half is proper salad, leaves and stuff.

And a glass of fruit juice. I'll make tea later...

Ooh salad, is that the green stuff that tortoises eat?

I will be having pie.

Oh and while Baggy's not around does anybody want a Tunnocks?

I'm sure a tortoise would have liked the lettuce, but probably not the pasta/tuna/sweetcorn/mayo combo.

Ready for some tea now. And, to undo all the good, a biscuit.

Today was doughnut Wednesday, so tonight's dessert is an apple.

Potsy, very kind of you to offer, but I do not want a Tunnocks, whether Baggy is around or not. Though I would like to know how she and Chuffy managed to arrange for the Tour of Britain to be so close to their home. I think they could easily see it pass three times, if they tried hard enough.

Lovely sunny day here today, so I tested out the sun bed. :sun:

Now time for a shower. Then watch my recording of the Fleche Wallone. The common tator called it the Fleche Arrow.
