I'll report back on the lamb lollies...
something I haven't come across before..
Toodles was told it was too wet to go outside and play....
5 mins later, she had taken the raincover for the buggy and put it over her top half and opened the door..
you just can't script that
Resourceful wee soul.....
Cold lamb doesn't sound very tasty.
Experiment results awaited on these.
Why didn't you give her a waterproof coat of yours?
Nope, never. Good on her though...
Where'd she pick that up do you know.
I'll take them out and switch them around,
a bit Feldmanesque:eek:
One hand at a time, keeping the mess to a minimum.

I'll find out best way to prepare and cook then, you eejit..
Raw meat is bad..(IMO).

A slight difference in size from Child size ? to fat bloke 5x..
Could use it for a marquee, nay?
She's a bright wee button....

Catching up on the overnight rounders (west coast game so late, late)
It probably was finishing around the time I woke up...
Off to play some radio......

Owdo
Threat of rain receding down here. Wind has eased as well.
You could have taken a lesson from Toodles, "borrowed" the cover of the buggy and do the gardening under that.
A nice cup of tea in the morning...

They're not the frozen variety of lollies then. Thought it were some new flavour someone had thought up, being honest.
If it's all you have...

She'd have rolled the sleeves up, I'm certain of that. And, in case the wind picked up, she's bound to have wrapped it around herself to prevent take-off.

You were catching up in yer sleep!
How far behind are they at the ground?
Enjoy playing radio...

Cooked them in the fryer thing..
and they were excellent to be fair, I'll buy again.
No one took up my offer of one so all mine
In fact, I'll get an ice lolly later.
Getting down to settle for the night time....

It's a nine-hour(8 BST?) difference from here.
2:40 a.m. start time here and 6:40 p.m. there?
Game go into extra innings?
extra starts before 6am here..
Bit confusing without a cold one......

Well I never thought I'd see the day when someone said they'd cooked a lollie in an air fryer thingy.
Wonder why no-one took your offer up?
Get yer ice lolly before you settle down for the night.

Makes for awkward viewing times if you want to watch a game live then.
They often run into extra time?
I'd say it'd be just as confusing with a cold one. Besides, yer've got yer lolly...

Mrs M has a farming background..
as a 'lil' lass she used to carry lambs about..
Lamb is not a meat she will eat....

There are some midday (6pm here) games when they are in NY, Thurs, Sat and Sun unless they are picked by the networks. I watched a couple of 9pm games the other week..they are a massive attraction to not so well supported teams so best time to get bigger attendances is obviously evening games. Time differences across the country go from 5 hrs (EST) to 9 hrs (West Coast), it's 'on demand' for me as they blackout home games, but they are available locally 90 mins after the game is finished, picture quality is superb.

Tonight is 21.38 EDT

Whilst not a direct farming background, I carried lambs as a kid. Tricky little blighters when they got excited... Used to run amongst the halves of various animals in the yard of a relative who was a butcher.
Helped carry sheep when older. Neither stopped me eating lamb. But each to their own, and fair play to her for sticking to her principles.

They do like their late games then. Can't be many who have the radio on at work, wondering what the next pitch will bring.
Telly hasn't quite made the same impact into the sport as it has others, by the sound of things.
You watch on yer laptop?

You staying up for the game, or getting up early...

Watching it now.....
Must tick the no-spoiler box..
I know the score anyway, the game finished just before 5.30 here.
Telly, tablet or computer but 99% telly....
I listened to many a game over the AM airwaves, fading in and out from Germany on AFN(Murica Forces Network) from the mid-80s onward..
dunno if that is even a thing now...

Out to shops and an appointment..
Maccy Cafe at hand...

Out early to be back in time to catch the start...
I'll not spoil it for yer then, not that I even know who was playing.
And you were asleep, in bed whilst it were on live?
One of those "smart tellies"...
Used to do similar with an old radio, but most appear to have vanished now, maybe made the switch to digital leaving static where there once was life.

Off out, yer not long back...
You have their map on yer phone to help you find the nearest when on yer travels.

AFN was below BBC Radio Wales, I built a MW loop to fade it out...
I only wish I'd kept photos of my ancient kit, made a wooden frame and wrapped yards of copper wire, 24 inches square wood frame(?), and you just turned it to null out nearby stations, I found I could almost null out BBC Radio Scotland with it. I remember logging US AM stations during the flat spot between sunspot cycles, one in Chicago was a regular heard around dawn in the winter months, WGN rings a bell, more likely another LOL. Hard work, waiting and trying to hear the station announcement. It was very regular across the pond, and today, you could match up the online feed.
We are reaching the top of the sunspot cycle, so another 6 (?) years before it flattens out again.
Much easier now with loop antennas being so cheap from the land across the seas, gotta sort out the wheat from the chaff.
So cheap now with SDR black boxes or SDR dongles, frequency information is all over the net and addons for SDR listening programs..
Not so much the tinkering of bygone days which is good to be honest, I have a pair of Youloops in my loft, each opposite to the other, they work from VLF right through to 160 MHz for cheap....
(any browsers interested, just go to youtube and watch anything SDRplay or Airspy related, tests of the mentioned loops are there too...)

Can't recall ever listening to Radio Wales, even when there or passing through. Used to be able to listen to some eastern european stations. Recording parts spoken and taking the tape into school, for one of the teachers to identify the language.
Where'd you get yards of copper cable, without raising questions.
The only time I've listened in on a "regular"(more than once a week), was via satellite dish. Which was a novelty back then(70's), and out in the middle of nowhere.
What were wrong with Radio Scotland?
This announcement, verbal or prerecorded "theme tune". Regular time and place on yer dial every time.

Copper cable hard come by for homemade antennae these days, that yer buying in ready made.
There used to be books available in the local library which listed the range of frequencies on which you could expect to get something on, as well as fixed frequency stations/operators.
The books went slowly after the radio club stopped meeting in the pub less than fifty yards down the road. All three now gone!

Parts of those good olde days could do with being brought back. Everything available in an instant, no working things out for yerssen.
