OwdoG'day folks
The kitchen ceiling has it's plasterboard up and the walls walls are part done. The plasterer needs another day at it so there isn't any chance of the fitting starting tomorrow, as planned. It seems to be shaping up like the bathroom - a nightmare that drags on. The oven and hob got delivered earlier so they had to go into the hall - the garage is already full.
The bathroom guy was also back today to fit the mirror(nice job) and have a go at the radiator - he got instruction from the heating engineer and got the job done. The bathroom is finally complete, bar painting the ceiling.
I got a recommendation for a painter and he is to call tomorrow to look at the job and let me know if he can take it on. Fingers crossed that I can make some progress there as I really don't want to try to do it myself.🤞
The ceiling and walls were finished in Artex, I'm assuming.
Nothing "historical" found in all this work. Other than the pipework. Surprised you don't know your own face yet and still require a mirror.
Don't know why you're in a rush to get the heating on, we've a summer* this year! You'll be complaint it's too warm.
Dragging on!! It once took a company the best part of five months to replace a gas fire. And they fitted it with the flue cover fitted for shipping still in place. Second company to rectify their work required. Carbon monoxide filling the rooms either side.
Your on the home straight now, with the finish in sight.
*Don't blink, you may miss it.
