Will you be going back to school!
You've moved up to cycling, so you'll get there quicker now.
I'd probably be quicker walking uphill..
Uphill both ways I expect.

One of them you were in Maths, and the other you were on the bog?
The worst memories from school was a visit to the Nurse who made Ratched look friendly, her dragging a bone comb through my hair makes me shudder still and don't mention the dentist who instilled a fear of any dental work which lasted into my mid 20s when the future Mrs Mhor physically dragged me to get a broken tooth dealt with. I still have a fear of needles.
I got the downhill part heading home^_^
I liked primary but was a bit of a rascal during secondary yet I stayed on (for about six months)

Gone really humid here. Window open but not much air coming in.

Including your bike!

"Nittt Norah" or "The Not Nurse" or the school nurse, who covered everything that could happen.

Dragged kicking and screaming away from the school. That's a new one.
Some of my teachers felt safer after I'd left. Found that out a few years after leaving.

I sympathise: I discovered a few years back that the normal local anaesthetic doesn't work on my jaw, after they started drilling...

This did explain why the many tooth removals in the UK had been so unpleasant...

I have no problem now as my present dentist has a light touch,
although now moved almost 50 miles east,
I'll gladly travel...
reminds me, must be due a check up....
haven't really looked at the Covid situation has opened them or not.
Remember the good old 'count to 10' gas days ^_^

Last visit to a dentist, I got carried out, the dentist was walking wounded.
I'd almost taken two of her fingers off.

Previously they'd stopped using a local, gas was used once in the late 70's. I smashed the sink.

I had a job interview at 5pm Wed and walking into school next day at 9, told them I was leaving the next day, I left at 10am Fri and walked to a nearby dam and launched my duffle bag..
I became a message boy on the Monday,
I got £5 12/6d for my first wage^_^
A pint was 1/6d and a fish supper 1/3d
and Mars Bars were massive:laugh:

The days of walking out of one job and straight into another are of days gone long ago.
Anything worthwhile in your duffle bag.

Office based, or between sites.

A couple of school books.
I tried to return but can't remember, more likely teachers were off or summit.
had a few jobs in my younger years^_^
I'd a daily trip to a warehouse/store in Glasgow to pick up odds and ends, it was an optician and camera supplies shop, started my interest in photography.
Digital kinda blew that all out the window...
only a phone camera carried now..

Nowt important. You should have kept yer bag, always come in handy. You threw it after trying to return to school and couldn't. Were they hiding in the staff room. Out of sight, keeping quiet.

Is the warehouse/depot still there?

Morning??

It was more up a stair case and like an old hall,
dunno but I'd assume not, they have been bought over many moons ago..
I did excel at selling cameras etc..
I'd get behind the counter on occasion, tin flute on
I sold two Asahi-Pentax in my first couple of weeks,
the expensive camera they stocked one of..
the other two staff were pretty miffed at me..
I left to go for an apprenticeship and the boss offered me a good rise to stay but nah.

bamboo-zled now, had a rush to pick-up some plants from a supermarket across the river

And you were unable to cross the hall without being seen?
Stealing someone else's thunder never goes down well, especially if you're the new kid there.

Chance of flooding so you went early?
