This naming of storms is daft..
Just show forecasts with isobars showing..
everyone knew the tighter they were the windier it would be....
My final employer paid a private forecaster for less information you could get from the Met Office website, they padded it out with approx times and big words and a proviso at the bottom of each page saying this was all subject to change..
Maybe snow tomorrow, maybe not..
Beer in the fridge for a couple of day so bring it on...

Split the UK into areas and give the forecast in much the same fashion as the Shipping Forecast.

Barra made landfall on the west coast of Ireland earlier this morning. And already there's flooding, trees down, power failures. The red warning is set for 4pm over there.

No snow here, and non forecast now. Just windy later on, with a chance of rain.
If it continues after 23:59, let them know they were wrong.
No off, just let it snow...
