 yep, I think this one is going to hurt

Alot!
An hour and 18 minutes for me was quicker than expected :cursing:. The rises are deceptive. You see the grades, and prepare for the slog, but they are over surprisingly quickly .

I did a controlled ride today not pushing the limits too hard. I still doubt I'll be around for thursdays run, due to work :cursing:.

What is the biggest gradient so I can check if it is doable in the big ring? I reckon I can change to the small ring but unfortunately not back to the big ring, so would prefer staying in the big ring for the whole ride.

Steepest is 12%. But it is over relatively quickly. I think a good average for each rise would be sbout 6%, there are some 7's and 8's in there as well :banghead:. The steepest sections are late on in each rise iirc .

I managed to carry blue speed to about half way up each rise I think . From then on I was :B), I nearly :surrender: after the 3rd one.

That's is tough just after breaking collar bone. I would just do a velodrome session till you can support weight on your shoulders

 I went out in the real world today... I'll tell you something for nothing my brethren, don't bother! It's full of cars, wind, horse poo, puddles and pot holes. Keep away from the light there's nothing out there for you.

I was out today for first ride this year for early TT. I had forgotten how cold it is around the ears and finger ends. Vehicles were reasonably behaved today. Weather turned quite nice riding home. Praying Mantis setup worked quite well, just a little tweaking for comfort.

That's probably wise and where I am I quickly heading myself. As much as I want to do the league rides I suspect I would just end up putting the recovery back a bit.

Funnily enough last night watching some kids programme with my youngest where someone was about to do something awesome in a game and they broke the Internet! Bummer!

It was Kipster in a rage over his broken collarbone...
