lost connection and was on my own for the last third what was a bit depressing !! but i now have a question - as i came in from the shed of pain without my top on , my dearly beloved said i looked like skeletor after a bad illness ! prompting me to weigh myself - i have dipped below 10stone now by a bit - if i put my new weight in bkool - will it penalise me even more going downhill ? or should i dive headfirst into keebab city

At the end in cool down it said you did 842.3 miles:eek:

@Whorty how was my drafting skills i do need to perfect it that's for sure, i was comfortable with the pace so was happy to be at the front.
Thought that i would get you to the half way point then do a solo effort, but at mile 13 i could feel a chase down coming on then aimed for jerome whom i caught so was pleased with that.

I think that was my last Chain Gang ride till the clocks go back I've even put away the trainer and everything else much to the wife's delight.
Been a pleasure riding with you all.
Drafting with you two was quite easy, once I could get on to your wheel. The pace was about 5kmh faster than I would normally ride but sitting on your wheel made it a bit less painful! A few times I tried to take the lead and just shot past you both .... my technique needs work. When you went off I was on my last legs so glad you chose that moment as I would have held you back too much. I was actually watching you catch Jerome and was quite excited

@theboxers dragged me through a few more miles then I knew he had to go so I slowed right down and he got the message to power on

I've never been anywhere near 10st after I turned 16. I currently weigh more than 2 of you :mrpig:.

I saw that and I thought that was my imagination after I dropped off for my cool down descent .

Dinner consumed and sitting here now just watching the box . If I wake up early enough I'll try a little recovery :bicycle: tomorrow, in the real world .

@Breedon and @Whorty and all the other autobus members . I think we need to heed the advice from a few days ago. Let the strongest rider lead until they want a break. But I find it really hard to not want to share the load . It feels like cheating . I should have waited for the strongest to ease off and then put my turn in.

@BILL S @RickB @gbrown need to pick your brains to what I might of done with my settings - I could see everyone whilst I was warming up the ride then as soon as it race started I was on my own on the screen, however at the top right hand side of the screen where you can see how many riders / spectator's I could see I was joined by 12 other riders...

I've checked my subscription thinking it might of lapsed but that was ok.

Bloody typical on a stage which was perfect for drafting and I ended up riding solo
I have no idea Monte. That's never happened tome before. Hopefully just a one off glitch. Not sure what the tick box is that Berty mentions . I looked for it but can't find it.
Do you think it's related to you starting the session. Probably worth doing some tests.

That would be good news for us if you posted pics.

As it happens the wife and I are out to a Vicars and Tarts tonight.

Does this make my bum look big?

I'm like you, i've always pulled my weight in life and it just felt so wrong sitting on the wheel and getting all the benefit whilst someone else was working hard. I was hurting so much trying to lead you two at the pace you wanted to go, but it was certainly a great workout.

I will say this. That was the quickest hour and a half I've done on bkool . The concentration needed to stay on the wheel, and keep aware of who's on yours, made the first half zoom by . The second half was a lesson in pacing for me. I think I would have imploded at 20 miles without breedon and you :cheers:. I think the warm up session before hand and cool down after have served me well today. Total of 2 and a 1/2 hours that didn't seem like it.

IT problems tonight lost connection then when got it back and restarted, I was all on my own. Well that is what I thought. Now and then a name would pop up then vanish. I knew I wasn't alone as I would get unexpected boost in performance, as though I was being assisted from the spirit world. Berty Bassett appeared with 9 miles to go and was visible for a couple of miles. Finally with 2 . 6 mile to go the whole system crashed and I lost the whole ride. Still managed 24.7mph until that point.

Funnily enough your enthusiasm to get into your wife's size 10 dress reminded me of going to a vicars and tarts about 30 years ago and I did of course go as a tart. I think most of the guys did, and no Bob that's not because of the circles I was hanging out in ^_^

Got to admit the first half did go quite quickly as I was concentrating so much on what i was doing to help.
