Funnily enough your enthusiasm to get into your wife's size 10 dress reminded me of going to a vicars and tarts about 30 years ago and I did of course go as a tart. I think most of the guys did, and no Bob that's not because of the circles I was hanging out in ^_^

Sadly my wife has never been a size ten in the years we have been together.
She was 30 when we met with two kids but I was 35, 10 stone 4 and 6 foot (as I had been from the age of 18).
So alas her dresses have always been too big for me in our time together.
I have put on a stone since but sadly my wife has outdone me but it does mean I can now go camping in her cast offs instead (read that how you want to).

Bill, it was very impressive with you tucked in tightly behind AAAC ...and he want even wearing a dress. But he is so strong that when he pulled away you had to hit 450w plus to catch him. Honest, really good to watch and great technique from you both for as long as it lasted. I had to leave before the 30k mark.

Why do you think I was riding so hard, wouldn't you with Bill chasing you!

I think you were riding as hard as you thought you could without me getting left behind. My legs ended up lasting much longer than I thought they could and my w/kg were considerably up on Thursdays attempt and actually much better than any decent length ride I've ever done, except perhaps up a mountain league ride. I was also at 103% effort and have no idea how I was able to do that. Maybe I need to try an FTP sometime when I get a couple of days rest.
How you and Lars went as fast as you did on Thursday I'll never know, but I guess you were pushing much harder than with me behind you today.

I'm amazed by that too. My ride almost looks like it was a day in the office compared to you, but it was one the toughest (if not The toughest) rides I have ever done on the BKool. When I look in the rankings I find a familiar name "Bjørn Opperman". He's is a Cat 1 rider who always finish at the podium in his age group. No way I could get near him in real life.

Having used the Tickr a few times now it seems that my comfort zone is < 163 bpm, not that 163 bpm feels easy, but when I get beyond that I really start to suffer. So to see yours at 182 just amazes me :notworthy:. Fantastic effort which deserves a better ranking.

I was supposed to be doing my maiden century ride later but my daughters had a dreadful night and I just don't have the heart to desert the family today... That, and the fact my missus would probably change the locks on me if I did!

Bit gutted.

That's a shame TT. There will be lots of opportunities in the future:okay: a quick but fast Bkool today should help ease the itch to ride while appeasing your wife.

103% effort on a flat course... Massive kudos Bill, and also AAAC for the team work.

What a numpty! All set for an early morning blast on a new route, dressed, drinks made, bike loaded, shoes on, garmin FLAT!!!! Sit here for half hour now whilst it charges.
None of this on bkool

I've done the same, on more than 1 occasion. Have a good & safe real bike ride.

I dragged you and AAAC for the first 30k Lars setting you up nicely:whistle:^_^ only kidding :hugs:Nice to know I am up there with a cat 1 racer as well. But I have to say something doesn't seem right. My watts and effort seem a fair bit lower than the rest of you suggesting I should have been slower. I know how hard it was to ride but my time I fear flatters me. Mind you, I will take it and keep and hug it until it's prised away^_^
