7 Tuesday good for me. I have to ride on an empty stomach, so an 8 start is harder for me.
I would be happy to turn in at 7 as a reserve and go with any team that can't muster 3 people.

Well I'm signing up Geoff, and am available for any time. Hopefully we can get the 12 or 16 minimum required.Handicap Team Time Trial
@BILL S I was thinking the teams should ideally be 4 people, and take the time of the third across the line, so a drop out or mechanical doesn't wreck the whole team.
That means we should try and get at least 12, preferably 16 people signed up.
Looking at the Handicaps and who can usually show up, it would look something like...
Team 1: Goldwolfie, TheBoxers, GailB, Whorty (and/or Kapelmuur, RamirezAGC, Jamie and/or Rob.)
Team 2: Stuart, Soarerv8, Ste, Bert, JLaw (and/or GoldWolfie)
Team 3: Adam, Tommy, CXRAndy, Monte, John18 (and/or Kipster)
Team 4: Bill, Bridgy, Bob and Lars (and/or Adam)
Obviously these would have to be adjusted slightly depending on who can make the ride, and plenty of room for anyone else who wants to give it a go.
Start each team off at the Start Time of the third member and the team has to work together to get third guy across the line to beat their handicap by more than the other teams!
So something like Team 1 Starts at 0:00, Team 2 starts around 6:45, Team 3 around 10:10 and Team 4 at 13:45 (adjusted to suit final teams).
If it's to work it would need at least three in each time to show up!
Could be interesting to try it out before summer kicks in, then if it works we can make it a regular next winter?
Please let me know who would like to give this a go (perhaps this Tuesday and/or next), and any suggestions to improve the concept.
Cheers,
Geoff

As the weakest member of my team I think the tactic would be for me to bury myself on the front for as long as possible, before dropping off and leaving the fastest three to finish off - whilst carrying on as best I can in case of technical issues for one of the others. The key to getting that right would be knowing when my speed had dropped enough for you to drop me. (I always find this tricky with drafting as it usually feels like you're taking it too easy - until you go in front!)
Bill, Lars, I did stage 2 today against Lars' ghost and lost by 15 seconds. I had 10 seconds or more after the first climb and then lost it all on the decent and a bit more. Caught up and went ahead on the next climb and then lost it all again until eventually by the very last climb I wasn't quite pegging Lars back and then lost more on the final descent before the finish.
By three quarters I was missing the slings because my effort was constant and was sapping my strength.
My speed graph is almost flat compared with you guys and I have no high peaks on the down hills which is the reason I was loosing time.
As an experiment I have put my Classic PCB back into my turbo and I am going to save this stage to my favourites and try it again.
Should I not get around to swapping the PCB back again before my next chain gang ride then I apologise in advance as my Classic firmware accelerates me almost instantaneously to the correct 'free wheel speed'.
However, in summary, as it stands and unless Lars does the bonus sprint again and betters his time I think I will just manage to stay ahead of you both in the GC but it will be close.
In seconds:
Stage 1: Me at 00.0 Bill at 15.4 Lars at 16.9
Stage 2: Me at 15.8 Bill at 28.8 Lars at 00.0
Bonus1: Me at 05.9 Bill at 00.0 Lars at 22.5
Standing Me at 00.0 Bill at 22.6 Lars at 17.7
Perfect, you can take Tommy's place.I would be happy to turn in at 7 as a reserve and go with any team that can't muster 3 people.

Tuesday's is 8pm mate. Plus we have our 10 minute wait after launch. I am in a similar situation.
I'd still get a winners trophy though right?!
It would have to be 8pm for me though. Even with sleeping pills and brandy I can't get my daughter to sleep earlier than 7:30!
No probs if I miss out this time.
Fair enough, good planI love the proposal and set up Geoff. I should just about be able to make it tuesday though will have precious little time to warm up.
I think you are pretty much up there with me bridgy so lets perhaps take it in turns to blaze a trail at the front and see who falls off?

)What tactical discussions?Fair enough, good plan
(our competitors can't see these secret tactical discussions can they?)
