I was surprised to catch you up Bill. I thought I had you then you woke up and just left me behind. Well done for getting to the front :okay:

Andy, as you were pulling me in I was absolutely knackered and wondering if I'd be able to stay with you when you passed. At that point in the race my plan was to try and race you to the end, but then we seemed to catch up with Bob so I turned my attentions to him and then looking a little further on Bridgy and AAAC weren't that far up the road.
I think Saturdays re-run could be quite interesting with most of us a bit better rested and I'd expect the times to improve. Interestingly I still have on my road tyre from the weekends sportive and it seems to run well on the turbo. Mavic Yksion, good on the flats but no slipping up the hills. I think I'd better keep it on a bit longer.

Yes very enjoyable i think we worked good as a team I wouldn't say I'm any stronger rider than u I think me u and gw where pretty evenly matched except on any climbs where u both stuff me it definitely helps when we work together not just in drafting but the mental aspect where we try hard to stay together and keep pushing ourselves to try that bit harder its all good fun and training

@Whorty and @rob01792 - Yes really enjoyed that tonight, team White were rolling along quite nicely, it's a pity @theboxers didn't get the chance to join us, but he did pop on early doors with a bit of encouragement to stick together before he had to shoot off to work..

It definitely makes it easier when you have company and a lot more enjoyable. It was a really strong finish from Rob and I couldn't quite get back on terms when he pulled ahead with a mile and half to go. Great ride there Rob, you judged it to perfection.

Well done to all, it was a long one and my graphics were shocking, but even so I found it less painful than watching the recording of England v Portugal. match tonight.

No one chatting tonight?
I take it we have all heard about Alex Dowesett smashing the UK competition 25 mile out and back TT record.
He did 44:29, beating Matt Bottrill's previous record of 45:43 (a minute and a quarter, that's some improvement).
That is 33.7 mph average or 53.9 kph.
Looks like I have got some catching up to do.
I hope he doesn't join Cyclechat!

Too busy taking a leaf out of your book and drinking a bottle of red, AAAC!

Yep, amazing time and speed. He may well take that hour record back at some point.
See you all for the rerun tomorrow night:okay:

I don't follow any cycling sport for some reason. I think probably because the Mrs monopolises the tv 95% of the time.

Anyone else finding that their bkool home page isn't updating with their/and friends latest rides these past few days?

Was that just a ruse to get me to look and find that you've beaten me by 57 seconds on the bonus sprint.

I'll be back!

Crap, and I've gone down a standard.

Just another note to say Dowsett's average watts over the 25 miles was 409.
I was needing to average 418 watts to go up to my next pro level so I am now really not believing Bkool watts.

Yep, taking a while to show though league rides show inf you go to the league. Having to rely on Strava. See you got a sneaky ride in tonight Bill. I may be just as exhausted though having watched the Revenant.

Not really. None of todays rides are showing on my page yet so I thought it'd be the same with you guys. Leagues are updating though.
I don't know if there's any longer steeper rides in this league but if there is you'll easily make your time back. Tonights ride left me in a right state coughing and wheezing for a couple of hours. And it only looked like you were 10 seconds behind on track, not 57. It's the first time I've ever matched your w/kg.

At 400 watts I'd be wiped out in about 3 minutes. Best to average out the watts over the ride to get your quickest time, depending of course on what drafting opportunities are available.

400w is just showing off, I am perfectly happy with half of that so there!
