You'll be giving bkool riders a reputation if you keep doing that . Have you tried the London course yet? Is it any good? :surrender:

I may have to drag thoses large fans I found back home and test Zwift.

That is the london course which, miraculously via a tube tunnel, ends up in the surrey hills^_^

Its only the live results, but i will always take a win when i can:rolleyes::laugh:
I am sure there are some 3 or so minutes faster.

I've just worked out that I am getting closer to an actual bkool rating. My ftp is currently below what an Am 1 would be for my weight. To step up, to Am 2, I need to generate 263+ watts (it was, iirc, something like 278 or so). Since Christmas my ftp has gone from 190 odd to 233.

So what, at Christmas, looked like a mount Everest of a climb, a 50% increase in power. Is now beginning to look like a mount Snowdon, difficult but doable.

As the weight comes off I will benefit from the double whammy of easier climbs and higher ratings for the same power output. But I want to keep improving the power, if I can, as the weight ebbs away, triple whammy ^_^.

July League is over!

Well done all.

Winner was Lars (LB) with Paul (Bridgy) a very close second. Must admit I didn't see it coming and thought Paul would take it as Lars came very late to the game. Good tactics though .

What does everyone prefer to do next?

New Chaingang league similar to the above or take a break/concentrate on the Bkool Summer Cup? I don't mind either way.

Bill, I am up for a new chaingang. Flat and fast really, a bit lumpy at times but not too much. Personally, I want to save the hills and mountains for autumn into winter. I still need to lose a little more weight first ;)

The last chaingang league suited me better and I got a few improvements out of it . But I am not worried what type of stage you pick, they will all still hurt :B).

I think maybe a 3 stage league with 2 weeks for each stage, run them twice and chuck in a few of bonus sprints. This would allow us to split out to the Summer Cup without detriment to the chaingang league.

I put up a new Handicap league for August for those still keen to take part.

There are 5 courses, one a week, Cheddar, Chapel Fell, The Shelf, Haytor and Rundlestone.

I have used the previous results on each stage, and added a fudge factor to the Handicap algorithm to compensate for lower power when the gradient slackens off, in an attempt to keep things as close as possible, throughout the field.

First run is tomorrow night at 8pm, as usual. I've set an alarm on my watch/phone to remind me!

Well done everyone - and Lars in particular for the well deserved win! I would have liked to have another shot at the last stage as I didn't feel great doing it the first time but no guaranteeing I could have improved my time anyway (maybe I just felt crap because keeping up with Bill & AAAC is damn hard!)
