"Juancar" seems to be a genuine Bkool user from Spain called Juan Carlos Garcia Gomez (as opposed to an account just set up to scupper our handicap races!), and I think the unfortunate homophone (I had to look that word up!) of his name is just coincidental!

Why he is starting handicap races from the leagues tab - and putting in the correct password, which means he must be reading posts on here - is a mystery?

Juan, if you're reading this please post on here and join the league properly!

Could it just be some weird glitch or loop that it's stuck in? It seemed exactly like the previous week when I entered the ride the first time, when Geoff started it. Has anyone had the same problem when starting the same ride from the league tab at any other time? (ie not Tuesday 8pm ish)
And if Juancar is not in the Handicap Group he would not have the ride in his league tab so how could he start the same ride? In other leagues it is perfectly possible to have multiple league rides going at the same time. I think it must be a glitch.

Sorry for not joining the pain last night . I got home and sat down and the next thing I know it's 9:30pm .

I will not be doing any league rides tonight, it will be toooooooo warm . What I will be doing is a longish easy trundle to get some life back into my legs, but not end up a wet and soggy blob on the carpet :headshake:. I'll probably be doing an old chaingang ride

http://www.bkool.com/profile/detail/49733?durationType=DISTANCE&lapCount=1

Starting about 6 or 6:30, if any one feels like joining :headshake:, you are welcome to but I will not be racing or draughting. I intend it to be a z2 ride to burn off some of the Lasagne I had for lunch :mrpig:.

Good point Bill - you may be right about it being a Bkool glitch. It's a very weird one though, as the ride shows up normally in Juancar's home page etc.

- and it was a different ride last week as well - it was "The Shelf" this happened with last week, and Rundlestone yesterday. Both showing as perfectly normal rides in Juancar's home page

Looks like places 2, 3 and 4 were quite close but Berty did a runner.

Looking at the normalised watts/kg, Berty was 6.18, Bill 4.54, Jlaw 4.81 and Rob 5.02.

New Handicaps for Rundlestone

Bill down 1 Kg to 65.5 Kg
Jlaw down 4 Kg to 53.5 Kg
Berty up 4.5 Kg to 42.5 Kg
Rob down 5.5 Kg to 37 Kg

well thats my running days nipped in the bud ^_^

Good Detective work there Paul. He must be doing the rides then, and at the same time as us for some reason, but I guess he's not in the league. I think I have come across other rides that don't seem to like having multiple sessions running so just join starters into an existing ride. Does this mean Juancar set this ride up with the same password as us? I think I tried to set it up from the league with a different password but it still joined me to his ride. At that point I didn't know what to do so just scheduled the ride outside the league just to get us going.

But they're definitely league rides he's doing, not just the same course, as they have the same password protection etc?? Also, although I can't see his name in the list of members of the handicap league, these rides he's doing are tagged on his home page as being in the league (see screenshot above) - I don't know how that's possible if he's not a member of the league?

I'm confused but intrigued...

I've joined up with a local cycling club now that I have retired, so wasn't around last night as we did a very gentle 68 mile ride. It's more a social club for us veterans, as the pace is quite slow and the cafe stops quite frequent - good fun though and I need to find something to do whilst you lot are working .

They go out 3 times a week, but Mrs GW is holding me to my answer when she wanted something doing in the past that "I'll do that when I retire" so will probably limit me to a couple of outings a week.

I'll still need the turbo to get the heart pumping as I'm more shattered after an hour's league ride than a full day out with the geriatrics - they are quite fit really as all 17 of us completed the ride and there were some significant climbs

I have now completed 7 legs of SummerCup. The rest will have to wait until I get back. Knackered now. Leg 6 was crap, 3.1 miles and lots of speed crashes followed by no resistance or able to lay decent power(120rpm in 53-11 gearing, only 200Watts whilst going up hill), I will do that again, if I get chance.

bkool summer league cup seems to be alphabetical ?

That's because for some reason everyone has got 0:00:00 time difference so it has defaulted to an alpha-numerical order but strangely:
1. I am still second
2. But only up to page 6 where A.I.D's time is (at 3:59:40 still 11 mins ahead of me and only one moutian stage left).

Spooky:evil:

No such glitches in bkool's best league : The Cyclechat Chaingang ^_^

Tonight we have a choice. We could do the same as last week which is the 29.5km Champs Elysees or, because it's so hot we could instead do the Villamuriel 7.1km Sprint (Also a chaingang league).
Any preferences? I'm happy to do either, but if it's the Champs Elysees I'm not sure I'll make it to the end :heat:.
