I am now back up and running. The PSU for the cable modem died last night (I've been tethering to the mobile all morning) and I had to go to work to get a replacementtheboxers, thats' a terrible cough you have there...you be careful if you are riding tonight![]()
What version did they install? You can view it in bsim, go to settings/about bkool indoor/sensors/I had the Bkool team phone me up, run teamviewer and remotely check my unit and they said its fine. They installed the latest firmware which I didn't know there was one (nor have I check version numbers in fairness)
The box hill ride I did recently is here https://www.strava.com/activities/715479537

Yep I did it this morning in 39mins 44secs and followed it up with the short league ride up the Col de Madxxxx. That ride is showing in my activities but the velodrome ride hasn't appeared which is a pity as I think I averaged about 340 watts so would probably be due a promotion. Of course it may appear later.
I'm missing my tuesday cool down ride as well (did a PB on it), sort of. I have a listing for an attempt on descenso col d'Izoard in my favourites list but not in my activity. When you click on the link in my attempts it says the page is unavailablewell done did u notice that the cool down ride I joined in on Tuesday evening after the handicap as gone missing
Just done Chapel Fell..
Erm..![]()
Same thing happened to me with last night's climb up City Creek. Set a PB in the virtual world, but the ride doesn't show up in my history, but I can find it in "My Attempts" -- but there's no deal other than the time. Yet another bkool glitch.I'm missing my tuesday cool down ride as well (did a PB on it), sort of. A mail has been sent to bkool and I'm awaiting a full response as they just replied that they were having issues and some services were not available
. I'll give it a week to settle down then resend my mail

This is starting to get frustrating@CXRAndy I see you rode Chapel Fell again on a bkool pro. Looks like your were credited much the same power but went 1 minute faster than on the KICKR!
@Jim Brown
It's a bit hard to understand your result on Chapel Fell, as you produced more power than I had allowed for (240.4 Normalized) so your handicap was if anything very slightly too low, but your time was what I would have expected you to get with that power at your full weight.
Did you change your weight on the bkool web site before starting the simulator, or remember to restart the simulator after changing it? I wonder if somehow the simulator has used your normal weight, but then the web site has recorded the session with your lowered weight?
I think I have seen this before, where people seem to be much slower than their power and handicap weight would lead you to expect, when compared with the other riders.
For example, Goldwolfie was riding at 44 Kg at a Normalized 247.1 Watts, you were set to 42 Kg at 240.4 Watts (within 3% of the same power)
GW's graph shows 247 watts giving around 22 Kmph

Your graph shows 224 Watts giving 12.6 Kmph at much the same point, around half the speed I would expect, almost as if you were twice the weight!

I think you were riding at your full weight, but bkool then logged the ride on the web site against your lowered handicap weight!
Perhaps another bkool glitch, that allows your to ride simulated at one weight but logs the ride with another?
EDIT: This may explain why some people only sometimes find themselves less than competitive in the Handicap rides and other times they do much better. If the normal weight and the handicap weight are not too different, it might be hard to detect you are riding at the full weight. We need to try and work out how to make sure the simulator uses the lowered weight every time.
Geoff
Have you done one in zwift? I think that is a bkool ride and only tied by 60 or so riders rather than the 15000 who have tried in Zwift where i am somewhere around 3500th
