LIVING THE DREAM
Just noticed I beat @Goldwolfie by 4 seconds on the Velodrome session, but lost to @rob01792 by 1 second :headshake:If only I could have held the speed a bit more on those last 2 laps, but my legs had gone and I had nothing left :heat:

Apologies to GW - I used your ghost for the whole ride :notworthy: Couldn't have done it without you. Please feel free to do the same to me to get your lead back :okay:

I used a similar tactic in the Summer Cup.
Set off at a pace that you can only sustain for the first third or quarter but one that you can follow.
At the chosen point relax but complete the stage.
Then challenge yourself and follow your wheel for the first segment and then do the same for the second segment.
Challenge yourself again an repeat until you complete the whole session at the segment pace.

Quite an easy tactic in the velo I find, and really helping me increase my fitness as the velo helps me keep the power on whilst pedaling more smoothly  Not sure I'll knock another 4 mins off if I challenge myself again

A rider called Scott was running a league session, but I managed to start a separate one so be careful. Camlo should be sat on the line!.

Oh gosh, if that was me sorry chaps

Still getting used to this bag of worms.

Why I am here, why does a 7% climb virtually stop me in my tracks, the gradients just seem SOOOO much harder than on the road.

Sorry - your ghost was there too .... blame @Goldwolfie - had he not beaten you, neither would I have done

You put up a good fight @Soarerv8 - I could sense how hard GW was pushing to catch you, and even after he had past you, you continued to fight on. must have been a great race when it happened! Be interesting you, GW, Rob and me doing a velo session together and staying together for drafting.

@Whorty - well done, pleased to be of assistance. I think I'll pass on the chance of a re-run on that one.

Having been away on my hols, I'm struggling to catch up on all the events I've missed, and I normally just have the one stab at each ride at the moment, as I am still putting plenty of miles in the outside world.

I think it's easier on Bkool than in real life so not sure why 7% affects you so bad!

Read the forum during the day leading up to the ride and someone will say who will start the ride. At 7 o'clock UK time the starter will open up the session and there will be a 10 minutes warm-up. That gives you 10 minutes to find the correct ride and log on  Warm up with the others until the timer starts to cont down - probably best to stop pedalling about 30 seconds before the start as pedalling once the clock has gone to zero will leave you standing on the start line! At zero, step on the pedals and pedal like you stole it :bicycle:Don't stop until you get to the end  If possible, try to find someone at the same pace as you and draft behind them - make them work all through the race then jump past them with 100 metres to go

Good luck :okay:
