I also couldn't read the messages that popped up on my laptop screen as they were too small - couldn't see if it was people joining/leaving/watching or messages for me

Same for me on a 27" monitor, with varifocals on, the text is just too small and the message too short lived!

Morning all,
Quick question - the leagues finish 29th October. Does that mean you can ride them on the 29th or all done by midnight 28th?
League and ride finish times can be a bit odd. You may well be able to ride them on the 30th, they don't normally end early. I would say you'll be fine for the 29th.

Just downloaded the new bkool on the laptop all seem ok..
Hope tostart riding again this weekend. are there any group rides on Sat or Sunday?
There will be a rerun of the chain gang on Saturday at 5pm, but the only time the group is together is on the start line.

Thanks Rick - felt good tonight. I made a break for it quite early - in fact I tried a few times before I got it to stick - because I know I can't ever seem to out-sprint Bill so my best chance was to get ahead and hold the lead till the end. The time gaps were all over the place though - did you notice that Bill?
Yeah I noticed that Paul. It would go from you being 3 minutes ahead to you being 2 minutes ahead and back again in just a few seconds and it seemed to coincide with me and Rick switching places in our drafting. So it's probably based on the power readout.
I always thought they should have their time gaps based on average watts rather than actual watts but they never listened when I suggested it to them.

Who was wearing the red outfit and in the lead group until part way up the first hill? He blasted by me and then just stopped on the hill?

JonBon perhaps? I do remember one of the group disappearing midrace so must have had connection problems.

That sound about right Bill. Seeing as I wasnt producing anywhere near the watts you were, when I did occasionally did go in front of you the gap to Paul would have been a larger estimate.

Did you notice how the SIM behaved very differently for us during incline changes? I'd seem to ease into a climb more gently but then slow way down and then for the downhills I'd seem to pick up momentum very quickly and make up ground quickly again. I know I'm heavier but I'd noticed that with other similar weighted riders too.

They're all there, it scrolls! Took me a while to spot that. That bit's actually a small improvement!

That is an improvement but it's kinda hard to scroll and ride at the same time. That type of multi-tasking isn't in most bloke capabilities!

It'd be nice if you could expand it so it took up the whole of the left hand side of the screen.

That would be me... was dueling it out with Rick up the hill (seemed like a mountain to me!) when my front gear changer decided to malfunction and couldn't get it to go back onto the big ring, tried grinding it in different sprockets but wouldn't budge, wife came out to see what all the noise/swearing was all about, by which time i'd lost interest with it and bailed out.

It never showed you and Rick swap places - you were 0 seconds ahead of him on my screen for ages. I did think that was odd and that in reality you'd be taking turns on front!

I agree, the time gaps have always been a bit dodgy because of them using the power, so for example if one of you is cruising downhill and the other powering hard up a hill on a different part of the course (and when drafting like you say), the time gap gets very inaccurate, but I've never seen it jump around quite as much as it was last night!

Did anyone think the drafting seemed to give more benefit than before? It felt like it to me when we were in a group at the start.
