Well done guys - big improvement Bill! I just watched as I'd just got in from a rare venture into the real world - it was "refreshing" :cold:
Whow, well done all. Looks like I'll have to try harder.

For now I'm just glad I managed to complete a session with the new PC, which is actually not as powerfull, but has Win 64bit vs the old 32bit.

What was that Randy? The USA Absolute Record holder?

()
Sadly I'm also the slowest USA rider for that course.

Was enjoying it, did have annoying stich as well, so will sort out the tire in the morning and do the stage again.

@Randyberlin did try and help with some drafting but I think it was a bit lumpy so wasn't sure if I was hindering you so I shot of.
On this kind of course I can't really draft. My weight gives me virtual speed on anything over -1.2 and the uphill takes everything I've got to keep the speed over 19mph.

I watched part of the Chaingang. Bill agonisingly getting close to Bridgy`s ghost then just drifting back. Tommy mighty strong tonight, but feel for your frustration as soon as you hit the inclines speed was scrubbed despite putting in a lot of watts.

Well done everyone

I did the chaingang earlier today using Thursday's ghosts .... nasty up and down ride. Feeling a bit rough now, can't stop coughing up phlegm xx( I think I may have caught something this week  Still going to give the goat a pop tomorrow, may just take it nice and easy.

Bill, have you considered the possibility that your trainer just got closer to reality?
My BePros read 290 watt avg vs Bkool 307 watt. Much closer than in the "old days". I think our trainers seem pretty similar, except for my occasionally super watt sessions.

No I haven't really considered that as a possibility Lars. I know when I have a problem somewhere without seeing any figures in front of me. Ideally for me my heart and lungs should be hurting as much as my legs. If not then one or the other is being inefficient. On Thursday my heart rate went to only 170 which is low for me but today it went a fair bit higher which tells me my legs were able to work harder. Today I wasn't at my best but not far off it and the watts showed that.

Cheers Andy, it's a nice target for you to attack!

Am I missing a trick regarding the dead stops? If I'm honest I probably don't pay as much attention to the technical stuff as I could do. At one point I hit an incline of maybe 6%, my speed died, then momentarily went up to 30mph then levelled out to a sub 10 figure. Quite odd.

Do you guys ease off a little before the incline?

Cheers Bill, you're still well ahead of me though bud.

I had to back off at the start because I figured if I was going at your pace it was only a matter of time before I blew up! I must admit when we were both near the peak of the hill and the time was going between a minute and a one minute thirty, I did wonder whether I'd have a chance on the downhill. But when it came to it I was having to put out 300-400w downhill just to maintain the same gap so you must of given it a massive effort. Good ride mate.

Well you beat my Thursday time Tommy so you're now quicker than me on an off day so that's a good improvement on last year. You were blistering at the start and I was telling you to slow down in my head so we could do some drafting and you seemed to hear me. I had almost forgotten about Bridgy as he didn't appear for the first minute or so. I was then surprised how long we were able to stay with him. Then unfortunately the gradient came and you couldn't hang on. You may well be a new front runner on the flatter chaingang stages if you can replicate your todays ride. That'll be something to look forward to.

I ease off before the incline now. Today I had almost no dead stops because I eased off. I think I had one because I didn't ease off when going from a 2% to a 10%. I thought it was only going from -ve to +ve that cause this problem but apparently not.
