:cursing: 'Kin crashes. I think I may be seeing a pattern develop here. When bsim crashes, stops working or freezes. Once closed and reopened the pc tends to crash. Once rebooted, I go to shut down and there are updates ready to be installed. Could the dl of updates, not necessarily bsim updates, be causing the crashes?

I think I'll be booting twice or three times in a row in future just to get the updates out of the way :banghead:
It could be interfering, try this if you're on win 10. http://www.howtogeek.com/224471/how-to-prevent-windows-10-from-automatically-downloading-updates/

Bkool failed to load twice for me earlier. Just hung. When I did get in it wouldn't recognise pro unit or HRM. So restart again and then only way to get it to recognise unit is to remove power and reinsert. Cue usual lots of Wirring. So quite frustrated but in no way an excuse for lacklustre performance. Sensed it on commute home. I could barely hit 200w and 130bpm
Oh well, I reckon my pro unit is telling me this is how I will struggle with kickr!
Well done all.

I still have this weird red flag about my weight.

Am I the only one having this problem? I contacted Bkool support but I am not expecting an fast answer.

Well that was tough! Came of the turbo and my nose started bleeding straight away. Lucky for me it wasn't a minute earlier.
AAAC I think you are at least as quick as on your previous turbo. Probably quicker. Back in the slingshot days I might have kept up but no chance now. Ended up riding defensively and mostly watching Berty to try and keep him at bay. I thought you might get me on the slopes Berty.

Any hoo. I had an odd ride on the chaingang, at least what I did of it, tonight. I joined and everyone was there. I then dropped off to change my speed display back to mph. When I rejoined only @bobinski and I think @Breedon were displayed there from the usual suspects. I dropped out to check I was in the correct session. Yep right session, 11 riders. Check riders, yep all there. Join, I'm the only one there. I think darren joined and then a couple of others. Then session started and about 20 minutes or so in crash.

No visibility of any of the usual crowd that were listed as cyclists before I joined the session

Looking forward to the rerun on Saturday, going to change the pedals and cleats as there is way to much play and it's giving my left knee some jip so will sort all that out ready for Saturday.

trying to get back to riding how i used to by pedalling trying to pull all the way round as i have got in the habit of stomping on the pedals - it worked on the last hill but left it waaay too late to make any impact - yet again you were a dot on the horizon ! you realise first lot in get the cake sorted !

Noticed you left but wasn't sure if you came back in.
@bobinski you could be coming down with something.
I've not been feeling to good, heart rate abismal and watts even worse but felt much better tonight
Rest tomorrow and you will be flying Saturday

I think it means you are too heavy for that particular model of bkool turbo.
I could set it to 0 but I don't think you will like me going up. The value is in grams, I weight 74kg. I think the purpose of this check is to make sure we don't adjust our weight depending on the type of stage.

Oh, and you have a lazy ass league administrator.
Probably a good laziness. If this check was automatic, you would not need to validate my results manually.

Loads of people have the same red x as you and it is just that bkool set things up badly when they rode the league software. I think it just means that you changed your weight during the league which is fine as far as cyclechat leagues are concerned. It'll always be approved when one of the admins remembers to check and you can always remind us here as you did.
And, yes, at 74 kg you are quite a bit lighter than me so was only kidding in my previous response.

Funny ride that.
I climbed hard and relaxed totally on the descents.
I pushed it on the flatter section in the middle and worked hard again on the climb off of the flatter part.
Across the top of the final high section I just backed of to 179 watts (ish) and although my speeds may not have been as high as yours for that section I just seemed to cruise almost effortlessly over the minor ascents and they were over before any additional resistance set in (in most cases).
Where I could feel the pressure building on the pedals i just beasted it as I was well rested and then the final descent was another nap before the final rise finishing with an HR of 144 and never touching my warning level of 160.

I truly believe that the script writers have employed and over simplified process to smooth gradient transitions which resulted in the Pro Sling.
They have, I believe, now added a bolt on to fix the Pro Sling which has resulted in the dead stop (not quite dead but that is how it feels).
To some degree we seem to be having some success in avoiding that by not pushing to hard into the slope transition.
By doing this you may loose some top end speed but you still appear to get a benefit by not pushing too hard all be it this is hard to measure.
I intend to make up some test sessions to look more closely at these SW design features and see how the resistance etc reacts to employing different riding strategies.
This is not really to see 'how to play the game' rather try and demonstrate some of the shortfalls in the simulator/trainer FW.
