I really enjoyed that too @Monte. Even if I am finding my reintroduction to Bkool extremely demanding and tough. I am falling off the damn thing absolutely f&@;€$*#%+ed every time. It's all I can do to drag myself to bed.

And then, to compound things, @Soarerv8, did you catch and release the beast from your garage at my house? A bloody rat gnawed through the extension lead in my garden shed, and tripped the house out. From my lofty perch astride my bike, I screamed instructions at HID to trip the breaker back on. Luckily the Turbo was on a different bank of breakers and didn't trip, but lost connection, lights and nearly my marriage. Barking instructions to a comically short partner, who must have pointed out twenty times that, and I quote, "I can't f*****g reach!!" was very tricky, when you have no breath to spare at all.

When she finally managed to arrange a suitably precarious and high reaching pile of garage junk, and tried to trip it back on, Soarers crocodile was still welded to the cable and it kept retripping..... my breathless explanation on how to try each trip in turn to find the offender, was not well received from atop a wobbly gym ball.

In conclusion gentlemen, I was as lucky to finish, as I was to remain married....

The best ride I've ever did was from Toronto to Nova Scotia. Almost all paved bike trails. If you go for a visit you should take your bike.

That as my favorite ride for a long time as it seemed to have a bit of everything. I knew you'd beat me Paul, but for a while I thought I might be able to hold you off on the road. I saw your blue dot making its way through the pack and because it was mostly flat and downhill I thought I had a chance. I remember the dead stop but it was my own fault for not backing off enough. I got most of them right but not that one. Exactly the same happened to Bob where I flew past him going up a hill and he was nearly stopped. I think the dead stops have improved but obviously still needs some work.
Great ride Paul. Probably the best gap between first and second place yet in a chaingang ride :notworthy:

On a better day I might have enjoyed the route more but I just could not get the gearing right. I would look at the inclines and begin to mentally prepare to drop down or move and yet whatever choice I made seemed to be wrong. At points I could barely hit 30kmh on a 1% slope. And at other points I could power through at 50kmh+ though not for long. So, frustrating rather than enjoyable. And my quads hurt now! Clearly it was all that walking I did yesterday:whistle:^_^

You rode a great race pushing on rather than holding back to try and draft with me, whether thinking that was best way or recognising I was going to hold you back.

We might have to introduce a handicap for Paul in the chaingang races^_^

Well that's next years Cyclechat get together sorted. Is it going to be cheaper to charter our own jet do you think?
Can you take my bike back with you when you go Randy? I'm not going to need mine for 12 months after DD anyway.

Has anyone worked out how to create new kit in the new sim yet? You can obviously switch between the standard kit and a kit you made previously in the old sim but can you actually design new kit or is it just not working for anyone?

Yeah, that's what I thought! Not really anything worth worrying about - until Team handicap time potentially

Tried a bkool session today and it seems like my broken toe doesn't hurt too bad when turboing.

I tried the 1st chaingang stage again, but I just can't keep the pace for the entire climb section.
1st problem: I'm not fit enough.
2nd problem: According to my BepPro's, Bkool underreads the middletough climbs with about 30 watt, tough climbs are on par, while Bkool overreads on flat and downhill. The overread more than compensate for the underread, but of course the extra watts doesn't really do me any good on the downhills when there are blue numbers.
This mean that if I just draft you fast gues I'll get dumped on the first ascent, so I have to stay in front of you to build a lead big enough so that we wil meet at the top.
So no drafting for me in stage 1 .

I gave up and did a stage 2 reconnaissance and found much of the same problem. After 4km Bkool underread by a massive 40 watt avg. After 10.5 km things evened up and the ride ended with a 18 watt Bkool overread. But stage 2 (the Bristol ride) has a long flat section, so if I can just survive the first 10k, then I might have a chance of staying with the fast bunch.

So have you got it to work based on the real power from your power meter?

Bob, for a while I was convinced you were just playing with me, but by about half way I sensed that you had been weakened by previous exertions and you would therefore not make the ideal drafting partner to stay ahead of Paul. I think the best case scenario for us would if we were both on better form and due to Pauls restart if we could have drafted the whole race we could have maybe stayed ahead on the road. There's always Saturday to give that a go if you like. having said that I was pushing to the max last night and not sure I can go as quick again tomorrow. I will try though, and then there's always the possibility of another Sunday mountain goat session for me to feel totally dejected and humiliated again :becool:

So according to a power meter Bkool is accurate on big climbs!??! Honestly would have thought it over estimates on all climbs and flats. Maybe each machine is behaving in a slightly different manner. Will be getting a power meter within the month so cant wait to actually find out what my real watts are.

I have no idea what the PUN is, I don't think it has anything to do with either the BSim version or the Bkool Pro firmware! Something to do with the Server end (i.e. Bkool's Server software) if I had to guess.

The current BSim version is definitely v3.11 (the previous version was v3.10), this is listed clearly at the top of the About the App in BSim (Bkool Indoor).

I would say from your picture that, yes, your firmware is v3.10. I can't see this as I don't have a Bkool trainer. It seems to be a coincidence that the Pro firmware version is currently almost the same as the Bkool Indoor software version.
