TT, my rig is in the loft above my eldest sons bedroom so as to get revenge for being woken constantly etc but all he did was turn his music up:angry: So, the turbo now sits on a bkool mat, and that on top of 2 thick rugs. The noise of the turbo is much the same but the other vibration noise that made its way through the floor is greatly reduced. And my son no longer turns his music up.:okay:

Ah ok cool cheers Bob. It's just the vibration I want rid of really so that's promising. To be fair I think my family are more distgruntled with my music choices than vice versa. The Ramones have been replaced by Rihanna on my ever changing training selection and it's gone down like a lead balloon with my own stroppy teenager! Unfortunately for them if I keep putting in good efforts Rihanna is here to stay! :music:

Kick son out put turbo in sons bedroom.
They are looking for Prison Officers right now and apparently the accommodation is really solid all be it a bit cramped but there are always loads of people to party with.
Sign him up!

Ha!
I was supposed to get his room for the turbo anyway but his A levels didn't go to plan so he won't go to Uni this year, If at all... indeed the cheeky bugger has asked us to do a cheap loft conversion( is there such a thing?) on the premise I can have his room as a man cave!

That reminded me. I almost fell off my bike at the beginning of the stage.
In the olden days if a lot of folk joined the session you would get another line of riders on the start line.
Now they just overlay them.
There we were all lined up and Aida joined who I assume is female and she occupied the same gate as me on the line.
I was still spinning to keep warm but now days everyone else looks still to you.
So there I am in my yellow lycra skin-suite hips a rocking on the saddle on top of a stationary Aida.
It just looked so wrong.
I pressed the space bar to see it looking backwards and it looked just as perverse!

Just cos they go to Uni it doesn't mean they have to give up their accommodation/rent free storage at their parents.
I've got one back this weekend (the youngest) who left Uni two years ago and has her own flat in London and doesn't understand why I want her crepes out of our house. Granted she did say that |I could clean it all out if I wanted, and I thought thanks, but you know that you will get no end of grief when you have thrown that special hing away that they wanted.

For sure, and I have no doubt my son in offering upnhi bedroom, was looking forward to returning to his new loft conversion during the holidays!

Cheers Andy, I meant to ask earlier, how's your training program going?

Its going OK, I think:wacko:
My last two Bkool outings felt ok, not blistering quick for me, but not bad. I felt I was able to sustain power whilst climbing better. I am still in the 'Base phase' ,so if anything my power has not improved yet, maybe lowered. Its just sweet spot below threshold intervals whilst holding fast pedal cadence/form. The Build phase is where I am supposed to build power with cadence, that is to come in a month or so. We shall see if I can catch your good form:tongue:

Is this TrainerRoad you are using? If so, does the Bkool work/interact well with it?

It is TrainerRoad. I suppose it could. I pick and choose the types of races in bkool at the moment where they are smallish hills and use them for intervals. Most of my time is following TR. My plan was to do base and build phases, hoped I had increased ftp, then do it again at the higher ftp figures and see if I increased again.
