Thought I might give one of the training sessions a go tonight. A few years ago after having nearly died chasing a rapidly eacaping dog across a field I decided to waddle my way through the couch to 5k running program. Actually worked well and after a couple of months I could trot 5km without stopping or calling for an ambulance. Wonder if there is something similar for turbo or perhaps if this is where trainer road comes in?

Sorry TT, 7pm start works better for me

and me...

No probs guys. Wasn't trying to poach people from the main run, just figured there might be one or two in a similar spot to me. Hopefully some day soon I'll join you at 7.

This morning I did a re-run of changang 1 and set up AAAC, Monte and Whorty as ghosts.
The first pic below shows the time gaps after 3 of us has crossed the finish, I was11'53 behind AAAC (must try harder!) and 1"26 ahead of Monte[

The second shows my elapsed time when I saved the session, 54'06
Elapsed.jpg

The final pic shows that this is shown in my activity as 57'38 - i.e. 3'32 slower than what I believe is my actual time! I'm looking for marginal gains, not big losses!
If I take my elapsed time of 54'06, the time gaps do equate to the times recorded by AAAC and Monte. Also, the 54'06 was reflected at the bottom left of the screen when I crossed the line. Bkool say they are looking at it, I just wanted to know if anyone had seen anything similar.
Sorry I can't do the Chaingang tonight, hopefully next week....

That does look odd Noah. I must admit I've never really taken much note of the time on screen at the end of a ride but I think I will next time after seeing the above!!

The 3'32 slower that you appear to be happens also to be the exact time of your warm down - could this be where the problem is? Does this tie in with the other rides you've had this problem with?

Cheers Bridgy, I just noticed that but no, the differences I've been seeing on other rides doesn't match exactly with the cool down time.

Blimey, it's now just dawning on me that I HAVE noticed odd things with the timings on rides with ghosts a couple of times recently - where I thought I'd seen a quicker time on screen at the end than it ended up showing up as in the league. I blamed myself for being a bit thick at the time but I'm now wondering if it was a similar issue to Noah's? I'm sure I posted about one of them at the time - I'll try and find it....

Well that's weird - just did goats league stage 1 and I could have sworn I finished sub 1.20 as I had that as a target and was quite pleased with myself! But then I see on the league results my time was actually 1.21 - I must have been going delirious with exhaustion!
Found it - the above post in October

Ah borrox :cursing:. Life conspires against you sometimes. No chaingang again, tonight, for me. I am just going to have to do what I can, when I can, before the end of the month.

I need to get organised again and put some miles in. I may need to just do the chaingang sessions plus some workouts and longer easy to medium sessions to get back in the saddle :bicycle:
