It was a full gallop! Shame wife's not in, I could of had a post race rub down:tongue:

Well done Andy. Is that your first stage win? I think we have another one in this league which has a lot of downhill too. Could this be your chance to take the title?

Yes Bill. I believe it is my first head to head win.:hyper: I must admit there are a few courses in this month league which will better suit me. I expect to be put back in my place next time. I doubt you lot are going to give me a lead again, would be nice though:okay:

well done all
sorry bill i was lead weight today on account of trying 80psi vs 140
100 for the next one till I get it right!
I guess going downhill wiith a relative flat is a drag

No worries AAAC, I wondered what was up with you. 100 psi should be a lot better on a stage like this.

Absolutely typical... 2 mins before the start my internet dropped out, managed to reconnect and re-join the group only to absolutely cock up the start, wasted loads of time stuck on the start line. The only week I had a chance to try and tuck into the group and I mess up the start.

Good ride everyone, I pushed as hard as I could, heart rate over 180 again
Flip!!! HR over 180? I thought I was pushing it hitting 175 and that exhausted me. How do you manage to push to 180 and not vom? xx( Or pass out?

Can't do Saturday as have friends round for beers and frivolity  I fancy another pop at that course though; I'm 'comfortable' now with the goat rides but it's these chaingangs that destroy me. Must get better at them. I'm WFH again tomorrow so looking to re-do the ride tomorrow evening around 6 if anyone wants to join? Will look to do the Goat on Sunday if hangover has gone by then

Well, no excuses, I'm just off the pace.

I don't think it's just lack of fitness though - I seem to lose more time on the descents than the climbs, so I'm wondering if there's some quirk of bkool that's working against me. Overall, it felt like a lot harder work than doing that course in real life would feel.

I agree bkool rides are harder - I've always put it down to the fact that on the turbo there's nothing to stop you going full pelt the whole time. In the real world there's lots of reasons to hold back a bit at times - if only for self preservation!

No worries AAAC, I wondered what was up with you. 100 psi should be a lot better on a stage like this.

I literally put the brakes on at 20.1 km to signal you to go and you did. I see your HR shot up 10 bpm after that as you chased LB. I assume you used a bit too much up chasing and lost the sprint.

I was bobbing along at 155 bpm with lead legs and regretting letting so much air out which were all negatives to my incentive to go harder. Saying that I was only just hanging onto you anyway.

Can't believes Andy's speed, that was amazing.
I must admit though, and both LB and Bridgy have been there, there are times when you just seem to get above a speed and nothing seems to slow you down and you just fly along blowing hard but moving fast.
