Anyone else suffer with incline resistance continuing into descents? It didn't happen to often and seemed to go away as ride progressed but made gear changes tricky, having to wait for the resistance to ease. Certainly happened over the top of the 11% and I think caught bill on naother incline.
I had some strange Trainer 'features' occurring today.
When first got away on the front I suddenly noticed I was holding high kph for relatively low Watts on the screen (accepting that BKool calculates Watts from the 'conditions').
So I backed off and 'waited' for you both. When we were all back together everything behaved normally again however my W/kg are down on Bridgy's and the above early low 'indicated' watts could explain that.

Other than that that was a long and tough haul.

I had a plan again that evolved as we went on.
1. Stay with Bridgy and DP and don't do all the work.
2. If DP goes off of the front chase him down, take Bridgy with you if you can, but don't work until Bridgy is back.
3. If Bridgy goes off of the front chase him down but try not to take DP with you (we, Bridgy and I need to close the gap in GC)
4. If the elastic breaks work with Bridgy
5. Keep this up to 3/4 in.
6. After that start testing on the climbs (if you can call them that.
7. If the elastic breaks keep it going but don't kill yourself for 10 seconds
8. Monitor the gap and if it opens kill yourself.
9. Remember to keep it going at the finish re the pre-ride post.
10. Resuscitate self after killing self (keep that defibrillator to hand).

Another 10 point plan! I was trying to keep I relatively easy through the mid point of the ride and not push too much an keep something back. Maybe I need to test you earlier aaac and see if you break!
Bridgy, I think the next ride needs some teamwork to get over the hills to keep up with aaac as he'll be well away!

There is, at times, something wrong with the resistance on my pro.
Today, I started up bsim, switched on pro and after checking settings and green light on tried a warm up. I immediately noticed the resistance was far too powerful, struggling to turn 50/11. Came out, turned switch off and tried again after switching on. Same problem. So, 3rd time lucky, switched on but this time tried Zwift and all fine. Close Zwift and into Bkool and again, all fine. Watts and power ok until i faded. I have already logged with Bkool on Tuesday and trying to arrange a dial in. It did feel ok on the chaingang, unlike on Tuesday so I am not suggesting it affected my performance at all.

Obviously got a Virus from Zwift,
No way would there be a problem with BKool!

My strength is in constant efforts, vary the pace a lot and I will struggle.

I kept trying to pull away, my last attempt being on an incline and as soon as you came back to me I knew you were stronger and anyway, I was cooked! I hope to be stronger for the re run and if we can work together perhaps we can get closer to the front runners.
I think we can both do better in the re-run Bob, and if we can work together (perhaps with Tommy) then we should get closer to the front guys. Lets see if we can stay with them for a km or two at the start. Not that I'm so hopeful about that with the uphill start, which coupled with DP's sustained 1000W blasts could make it a very hard thing to do.

if anyone happens to be going up a 7% hill for longer than ten seconds would you do me a favour - could you go down to 9mph and see what your watts are please
mine were 230 putting in fair effort compared to 260 happily bumbling along on the flat i know it all evens out but it would be nice to know
sorry i aint been about i have got a serious case of kitchenitus - got carried away and now ceilings are down wall down floor up and all day the bloody dog paddling in and out bringing in toys that 'must not ' be outside
wheres that kitchen company that used to avertise so freely on here gone

I will always be slower out of the starting blocks Bill because I need to be able to breathe but if we can tuck in sharpish and maintain 350 plus or 50kmh then drafting should take us a long way before we find out which of us has the power to keep going at pace. I wonder if TT is resting again before coming back to put in one of his super strong rides? My If or whatever bkool call it was only 0.8 and so I am hopeful I have a faster time in me. Only caveat is I have a 50km ride in Zwift later this afternoon as part of building up endurance.

Endurance isn't all its cracked upto be. I think you will need 60kph(36mph) to stay with front bunch. AAAC was regularly hitting those speeds at the end of the course.
I have a cunning plan for tomorrows rerun, IF I can make it ^_^

Drafting with AAAC and D.Pig isn't drafting to save energy, it's drafting that just about enables you to stay with them! I was still at about my maximum sustainable effort in the draft. And if you let a couple of seconds gap appear - man that hurts getting back on!

When I first started in the leagues I'd have been dropped the first time I lost the draft - that's if I could stay with them at the start (which I couldn't!). It's being able to dig deeper regularly like this that made a big difference for me I think, as I remember often getting dropped at the start by Bill, Rick etc and then actually being able to maintain the gap for much of the race, but not get close enough to join them.

@Daddy Pig it's good to have you in the races, as I think it's making me push myself even harder than before to try and stay with you! AAAC could pretty much always beat me if he put his mind to it, but I think he was starting to get a bit bored so was slowing himself down on purpose by doing silly things like reducing tyre pressure (!), so I think you've given him a reason to raise his game again too!

Remember that whatever watts Bkool shows for someone going up a 7% incline at 9mph will be dependent on their weight - as most people are heavier than you, they will in theory show higher watts for the same speed. I guess the difference will be more noticeable on a hill like that than on the flat

This...
I think Daddy pigs arrival has put a spring in yours and AAAC's step/pedal which has the effect of making the rest of us work harder too
