Well, disaster struck again for me tonight - logged on early to allow some time for the bkool update, well it was taking ages so I thought I have to cancel this otherwise I'm going to mbe so the start of the ride. Did everything as normal, searched for Bill S in the filter, saw the ride with 16 riders online but when I went into the ride it was only actually showing 4 riders, repeated several times with the same thing happening so I thought let's just get on with it, Runar was there but had a minute on me in the first 4 miles and then it completely froze on me around 10 miles into the ride. Almost pressed the cancel subscription straight away, but logged on again and the update happened really quickly - maybe just maybe it could have been my fault for leaving the update too late
I wondered why you kept joining and leaving (several = many) times!!

Sorry I missed it - looks like a cracking race between you three at the front! Wish I'd been there in the mix battling it out with you

I have noticed that ant+ devices show signal strength, which I don't think was there before. This could be useful to identify signal issues.

Cracking race @BILL S you had me struggling all the way to the end. @AAAC 76C cruising to the line. Good job. Well done everyone.

Thanks for dragging me along with you DP. You did most of the work and I think you waited for me a few times. My power was definitely reading a lot higher than usual so looks like the new update has helped me. :hyper:

I had hit the hills at around 500 to 600 watts in places just to keep up with you! You should try out a goat stage asap, I reckon you'll be flying up them.

My ride shows up in my attempts but not in the rankings. If I click on I get taken to an unavailable page. Very strange.
Quite happy with my ride given I had a self imposed cadence of 90. I only breached it 3 times. Firstly when I thought I would try and chase down Bill and daddy pig and realised I was being silly. The second to try and drag Runar along and draft faster and the third at the end. Power uphill seems a little easier. Bonkers though that it seemed easier to get up to 45-50kmh going uphill that 50-60 down hill on a 2-3% gradient.
Great power from you guys at the front.

What was 6%+ right at the beginning all about - it felt more like a brick wall. I foolishly tried to draft with Bobinski and Runar but that didn't last long. I think because we were doing loops we managed to lap a few riders - made me keep pushing so the front three wouldn't do same to me!

That was.a good ride! When I dropped back to draft with you both I expected to stay at the front but you both kept overtaking me^_^ it was nice to have a rest but I thought I would do the hard work and we would all benefit from a nice ttight group. The lead boys, while stronger than us, also benefit from drafting together, something the rest of us have to leant from...and I say that recognising I am not so good at drafting myself!

Well we'll soon see if that was a one off or if the software has brought me up closer to you guys. If it is a software thing it doesn't make sense that it's only helped me though.

Had a bad day at work and I forgot to take my car in for it's MOT and it expires Saturday.
Only realised that when I got home just in in time to get ready so by the time I started I was well wound up re my reasonably quick start.
But if you think I was cruising then your wrong.
When I got away from you both the second time I knew I had to stay away but I was waiting for a last minute dash from either of you.
I was really on the rivet by the end. In fact I was on the rivet for the last half.

Shame really as at one point my average power was good enough for a Blue Hat (430 watts needed)

For Bob. I found the climbs that were there were long enough for the resistance to cut in and therefore you got the delay coming off of them as well.
I missed a few shorter descents because they weren't long enough for the resistance to change so I ended up 'climbing for longer'.
All in all that course did not cut over at all to that 'cooking on gas' feeling, instead it was just a long old slog, most of it on my own,
Also I have said before that shallow descents always feel harder than a climb of the opposite percentage (e.g. -0.5 vs +0.5).

For those that saw riders passing them not in the list that was most likely us front runners who were a lap or more ahead and perhaps more than two places in fron of you.

DP. I assume you have several outfits in your locker that were there before the BSim GUI change ass you have a different strip on (stolen from an Astana design perhaps).

I was going to ask what has happened to get the old Bill back.
However the other thing I was thinking was that I was close to blowing a gasket and bill was only a few seconds behind so was I just on a bad day?
Anyway ghost set for Bridgy and DP to sit in on on Saturday and then take me at the end where I was tiring.

No HRM by the way, got ready too quickly and forgot it until it was too late.
