Geoff, sorry for bailing. I ate dinner a little too late and began to feel it troubling me during my velodrome warm up. Had a go though and pleased my start a bit faster than my last attempt. Would have liked to have kept going. Went off to Zwift to do one leg pedalling drills instead.

Well played @bridgy
I assumed I was going to get me a nice tow to catch the others, but you shot past so quick I couldn't quite latch on.
I'll be watching out for that next time ;).

Looks like a good race guys. Well done to all and especially Perky for holding off Bridgy at the end!
I could have predicted you would side with someone with a name like perky, Daddy Pig! :mrpig:

Perky - you were a good target for me at the end and I was really trying to catch you so thanks for the sprint finish and well done for winjing it!

It was good to be back racing again! Bill, I owe you an apology for charging past you instead of joining up for a bit of welcome drafting. Genuine reason for this was I mis-Interpreted the rider graphic and thought DP was bearing down on me, when in fact I was looking at me catching You! I only realised this when DP - who turned out to be spectating - sent me a message pointing out I was being a bit ruthless in powering past you like that!

Sadly old enough to remember Pinky and Perky still having a thriving pop career in my early youth. I believe they're still going though in modern CGI form too!

I had that all the time at school - reason for nickname is from my surname. The same as a high street shop owned by Dorothy and a Builders merchants shop owned by Travis. Both unfortunately not related

I have been searching on the web and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me.

I have been trying to pair my Tacx Vortex Smart and also my Powertap P1 pedals in Bkool but can only have one active at the same time which is annoying because i want to use the ERG mode on the trainer but the power readings are higher and not realistic like my P1 pedals.

Anyone know if it is possible to run them at the same time otherwise i guess i can run with the vortex and have the P1 pedals synced with my garmin and use the garmin to track my power output.

Cheers,
J

It used to be possible, but they removed this feature in the latest BSim.
Here's Bkools answer:

"Thanks for your message. It is not possible to pair 2 powermeters at the same time. Our apologies for the inconveniences."

Of course Bkool is not a powermeter, it just calculates power from the roller speed, so that was a really usefull feature they removed :cursing:.

Apologies for not turning up at the handicap race. Been doing exclusively +90% max pulse for so long now, and I think my body needs some longer runs at a lower HR.

The Winter group ride sounds like an excellent idea, but I think I'll do a week or to more "base" rides before going +90% again.

Not a huge lot to say, its just a pain typing on my mini key board on my bike whilst warming down.
I planned the session by challenging Jacob.
Went to add a couple of bots and there were a few Pep T's in there 3 of which had faster times than the one showing in the league results.
There were quite a few Elite in there so I added them all (and now they all have e-mails)
Anyway my aim was to best Jacob as I see him as the man to beat other than our own DP of course.
The gun fired and we were off, I dead stopped and quite a few folk shot by but I kept calm and slowly pulled them all back bar a Pep and AN other.
Had another dead stop and a couple of guys went past.
By the top of the first climb I only had on the fastest Pep and Mik Mak in front of me.
I didn't work too hard on the descent and they both pulled away a touch but I caught Mik Mak and Pep on the second climb or I may have caught Pep later thinking about it.
From there on in it was literally plain sailing.
I was careful not to push too hard into any transitions and was paid back by far too easy climbs over lumps and it just went on like that.
I was worried Pep's ghost would come back on the final climb but that was no to be so and the rest is History.
Another podium for Team Cyclechat !

On Thursday I'd love to have a go at pulling a group of Team Members to a good time and bail out 500m from the end and go back later on the week and post my own time.
So come on down on Thursday to get as many Team Members on page 1 as possible.
Just had a recon of the route and we should be able to put in a good time. I did 1/4 of the route in 7.20 but that was after a 40 km ride and still out of sorts with my legs after Saturdays run (although I can now walk down the stairs unaided!)
My observations are that the peaks are really steep (over 8%) not too long, but long enough to become tiring. There is a big dead stop between the peaks, transition from -10% to +10% so not anything we can do about that.
We need an average speed around 31.5 kph at the top of the second peak first time around to be on target but the important bit is teamwork on the way down to push the speed up. Front man will have to push hard with regular transitions to recover for the next uphill - 4 laps of the same pain!
