Cracking ride Paul, perfectly paced:notworthy:

I needed a lead for the climb, I just couldnt build a enough of one. Burnt a fair bit of energy trying though. :B)

That was fun

Lost signal a few minutes in and when it came back all I had was the map and no 3D view. I also got cramp in my calf at the top of the climb so was pedaling with one leg for most of the last 8 miles - was surprisingly effective!

That time will have to do - definitely not racing on that course again soon!

I thought you had it in the bag to be honest Andy - I lost touch with you on the flat when my signal went down and you gradually pulled away. With cramp in one leg after the climb I thought you might catch me back up but I guess you were tiring by then! Cracking ride from you too Andy

:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: I really though you were going to catch me at the end, I know you started later, but couldn't remember just when. If I realised just how close you were I would have slowed down, as it is I was still the 5 Britisher over the line! Damn!
That hill about killed me. I nearly gave up so many times. At the bottom of the hill I thought I'd try and catch you, at the top of the hill I thought, 'f*ck that!'
Glad I did it though. My attacks on you were very erratic Aleman, I couldn't sustain anything.
But hopefully it'll come.

Never been less disappointed to have my whatever it is somebody hands you when they drop you and ride you into the dust. :notworthy: @BILL S a lesson in perfect tactics.i am loathe to say anything that might detract from your masterly ride. I had to make too much effort to stay with you and @Brusgaard who also rode a great race, on the flat so I didn't have enough to break the elastic on the climb and when you caught me at the top I knew the game was up when I tried to stay with you and couldn't I enjoyed it perversely. Thx, I mean it!

I was spectating the three of you and it looked like you were working well together on the long lead up to the climb. I was interested on how the climb would pan out and like you said, despite gaining a small lead on the others, you were unable to snap the elastic.

The climb did look brutal though. I noticed that Bill had a cadence <40 rpm for a lot of the climb - I'm extra worried for my attempt on Saturday as I haven't got particularly low gearing on at the moment and I'm fearing for the sake of my knees!

Kudos to you all!
