Glad you all enjoyed the route! It's kinda fun to just read about it after the event and imagine what was going on. See you all Saturday for the rerun and yes I pretty sure the drafting changes are only in the beta.
Mustbein my head then. Or I managed to time it right.
I did get an email message from Bkool a while ago if I wanted to be a beta tester, but don't know if I am. Do you get requests from them to try things out?

Nice touch with Pep’s ghost @keithaitch ^_^

i tried to stay om him but with 2kms to go he pulled away and i lost a minute. Though it turned out it was a slow ghost of his real ghost as he in fact won by 4 minutes so I guess I tried to stay with an imaginary ghost of his ghost. He really gets into my head now...am I going mad?:hyper:
😂🤣🤯 My head has exploded trying to work out ghosts of ghosts

You need to download the beta version of the sim.

Never seen it. More interesting is that you are a peer. Do we have to address you as your lordship from now on?

Can't remember but I think I did. How do I know if it's the beta version
The icon or places on your home screen data beta and if you found the ride tonight you are not using the beta as it only shows others using the beta.

My sister did buy me a single squarefoot of some posh part of Scotland which in theory makes me a Laird

Couldn't see the ride in the 'League' section of the BSim so after eventually getting into Bkool, I spent ages going round in circles trying to find a completed ride so I could challenge them but no luck, I'll never figure that interface out - Oddly the 2020 20's were available in the League section so tried one of those, naturally the BSim crashed during the countdown, I restarted and it counted a bit further before crashing a second time, Bkool has deemed the sofa is a better option for me today. It's been a long day... :surrender:

Going back to my question about wheels...
https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/ZXSCWB/selcof-carbon-wheel-bundle
What do the experts think of these?
I looked at some capag deep rims a while ago and came to the conclusion that I would be better off with zondas on shallow rims as the more aero profile were heavier so decided the lower rotating mass would be quicker for me as it's hilly round these parts. There were 2 types of deep aero rims but the light ones were far too expensive.
Also just a thought that when I rode with a Cycling club there was a couple of people on full carbon rims. They had to be careful when it was wet. Apparently braking performance suffers on carbon rims and you need specific brack pads for them. Unless they are disc obviously.
I can't see what the weight is on the PXs. They do sound like a good deal though. What wheels do you currently have?

Well that was a lot harder than I thought it would be - I thought the profile would suit me, but the downhill bits didn't last long enough. Still stage 1 out of the way.

Next up I'll be looking at stage 1of Jim's February Flat Cap league - I tend to only have one attempt at each stage, as that is enough pain not to be repeated.

DT R460, to be honest I keep looking but haven't a clue what I'm looking for and if they will make that much of a difference for the money

You had the downhill speed for a good 6km but seemed to slow a little before the uphill
