@shimceltic .
I saw on your 3rd Bkool ride today you went inland. Because I've been in that area once I can give you some advice about riding out of Scarborough. Sort of England from within by someone who has been there. There was a really cool viaduct just North on the coast and an off road trail with great views.

Seriously you are in a great area for cycling.

Edit: I know it was a virtual ride, but still damn good advice .

Yes I can agree that it is a lovely area to ride. Spoilt for choice sometimes as to which way to go. I live about 18 miles from Scarborough in Malton. Big hill in Rosedale chimney bank and up to castleton. That is a lovely ride out.
Not sure how to upload rides so may have a look on my Garmin history and try to upload one to bkool. I think it would be interesting to see what Rosedale chimney bank is like on the trainer having done it a few times.

I think I know where you mean with the viaduct. I think it's Hassler on the road th Whitby. There's a national cycle network trail that goes from Scarborough up past Whitby that I've ridden so I guess that's the off road trail you refer to.

Happy days 😀

19%!!
The Google called it the Larpool viaduct. The views of the shore from the old railroad track were stunning.

Better watch out! I found a better tyre to put on last night! A continental ultra sport. Bit old and worn but felt quicker than my 4000SII.
Great minds think alike! Following @Brusgaard recommendation I bought a Vriedstein fortezza senso intending to use it as a winter and trainer tyre on my good wheels. I couldn't get on to my 58 deep section carbon wheels which was my original plan but put it on to my normal trainer wheel (Mavic Kysirium elite s) and it too felt faster. Max pressure is 170psi!!!!!! I put it at 140, more than that frightens me! That and a lack of arm strength to pump it up.

I'm very interested to see how your new Vriedstein fortezza senso goes as my new old tyre is just a temporary/test tyre so definitely need to find a new one. I also tried an old mavic tyre on Tuesday night and it made me even slower than before and made a right squealing sound. Are you riding with your new tyre tonight?
