Hit by a car, while riding his bike, back in spring this year. Now paralyzed from the waist down.

That is absolute crap. My heart hoes out.
Years back I sold and old bike frame to an Army colleague and a few weeks after making it up into a bike we was hit by a car and lost a leg.

I was able to change my ticket to Copenhagen to next May for only $155. So please keep doing a good job on controlling the Covid. I still plan on going up the west coast of Sweden on The Kettelgarten then across south Norway then Ferry back to Western Denmark and ride back to Copenhagen. This is all based on a Vaccine in the beginning of the year. The exchange of Dkk to dollars looks like its about .16.

I plan on trying to get a free lunch out of @LBHIFI and ill offer to buy you and your family lunch if you order cheap.

We still got it somewhat under control. Closing in on 700 dead in total with COVID-19.

Hope you can make the trip and we can share some miles and maybe a beer and/or cake! I’m sure we can arrange a stay here at my house, if you want to. In May my daughter is stilling in boarding school, so her room and bed is available, at least on weekdays.

Yes. But he said not a fast one.

No definitive plan on my ride. Every year I get even less planning and more take every day as an advenure, but it looks like a Norway ferry goes north of you to Hirtshals.

I've sent you a request to the handicap conversation which we use so non handicappers don't have to wade through masses of crap here. Basically Jim will start it tomorrow, it's a password protected session to ensure there's just us, the password is Sergi. We then wait on the line until the handicap assigned to you by my cat (Sergi) in his infinite wisdom has passed. The spreadsheet with the handicaps and the previous week's results is linked after my signature here (Handicap tab). We use the same route for a month in order to try to get the handicaps as accurate as possible. Based on your performance last Thursday and because he's an evil cat who likes to rub salt into wounds he's given you a handicap of one second less than me. See you tomorrow.
If anybody else wants to join just let me know and I'll have a quiet word with the cat and get things organised.

Yes, I'm worried too. He was the person who really got me involved here, we had some epic battles. I hope he's ok.

I would probably go for the 11-34 if doing any mountains.

That's what I'm gonna pick, I have no idea about gearing, my mate said only get that if there are 25% bits but I'd rather spin if needed on any hill

That said, I don‘t think I’ve ever tried 34-34. But I have 36-32 as the lowest on my current bike, and I know I struggle going above 10%.
